Chapter 122 - 158- Meeting Professor Liamian
Chapter 122 - 158- Meeting Professor Liamian
"Are you really trying to protect Zeph or just wanting to marry him, huh, Valeriana?"
The voice attracted the attention of all three of them, turning to witness only a caramel-haired girl with emerald eyes standing not far away from them.
"T-Thalia!?" Zeph’s hands slowly loosened on Jia’s waist as he saw the real owner of his hands arriving, retreating with a smile while looking at Thalia, whose gaze was fixed on Valeriana instead of him.
"W-what? Why would I do that?" Valeriana, upon hearing Thalia’s accusations, felt bewildered as her motives were just to handle the situation for now and then explain everything to Zeph afterward to avoid causing any misunderstandings.
"It’s okay, I don’t have any problem." Thalia shook her head, accepting Valeriana as her sister only because Professor Deventhia, her aunt, clarified the situation between Zeph and Thalia.
’But I do,’ Valeriana thought, realizing she only wanted to solve the mess but ended up being stuck in it.
"Let’s go, Zeph. There’s no reason for us to be here." Thalia moved towards Zeph before grabbing his hand and pulling him.
Without turning back, Thalia took Zeph away from there, leaving the three girls bewildered by the sudden change of events.
Observing the disappearing figures of both of them, Valeriana also departed, understanding that the problem had been resolved, leaving behind Estelle.
It dawned on Estelle a bit late that Thalia had spirited Zeph away before she could utilize the video to blackmail him,’ She fooled me!’.
"Estelle, I’m sorry."
Hearing a voice, Estelle turned to see a girl with short brown hair looking at her with pleading eyes, filled with anxiety, waiting for her response.
"It’s fine. You did great," Estelle replied before turning and leaving, leaving Jia standing alone in the hallway.
"W-what? Really!?" Jia followed suit, catching up to Estelle.
She felt happy knowing everything was resolved without her getting reprimanded.
"It is," Estelle nodded with a small smile, feeling satisfied with Jia’s actions.
This made Jia’s face break into a big smile before she pulled Estelle along, saying, "Let’s go. Now it’s Bruce’s turn."
"Hehe..." Both of them disappeared into the long hallway, leaving behind a figure who had witnessed everything since Valeriana’s confession.
’That was unexpected,’ thought Rihane, her eyes widened, processing the bombshell news she had just heard inside the Academy.
She turned and swiftly departed, her mind already racing to share this news with her friends, and only with them, no one else....

After leaving that place due to his work with Professor Liamian, Zeph sent Thalia ahead and proceeded towards the main building, where the professor’s offices were located.
’Now, let’s deal with Liamian first.’ With a smile forming on his face, Zeph moved through the hallway, contemplating the personality he was about to confront,’ Zendal increase mana intensity in my eyes’
The reason Zeph did this was simply to avoid being recognized because of his eye color.
Of course, he can’t change the color of his eyes, but he knew a particular weakness of Liamian that caused him not to think with common sense.
Arriving at a place, he stopped outside a room, his gaze fixed on the office door adorned with the nameplate of Liamian.
Knock knock
With two knocks on the door, Zeph entered the room without waiting for approval, already knowing how to handle the man inside.
Entering the room, what greeted Zeph was not bookshelves, but herbs—an expansive space, unlike the usual size, enhanced by dimensional space, making the whole place resemble a forest.
It was filled with greenery that seemed darker, in dim light, with swirling vines and flowers.
Upon closer inspection, the beautiful, colorful flowers appeared to have teeth, an area beside them slightly drenched in blood, indicating their recently finished mealtime.
Moving through the space while already aware of its creepiness, Zeph inspected the entire area, feeling excited due to the real-life experience rather than the details he had read from a novel that attempted to define this place.
The dim light, devoid of any moonlight, reduced visibility, guiding the eyes toward a single path leading to a location where a lone man with pointy ears and Frisco eyes lay.
The surroundings matched his personality—serene, mysterious, and wise—sitting with an exhausted face that mirrored the forest’s darker side.
Initially confusing, these two small paragraphs contained everything about Liamian.
Similar to the dim light of this place, his aim was steadfast, unshakable in the absence of moonlight.
The path Zeph followed was the only one visible to the naked eye; the others appeared repellent.
Zeph halted at the center, gazing at the seated figure, understanding the meaning of serene, mysterious and Wise, ’nerd and a bookworm with a gloomy face’
This was what Zeph comprehended from the passage, and now, looking at the man in front of him, it seemed true.
"Why did you enter without my permission?" An exhausted voice reached Zeph, Liamian fixing his Frisco eyes on him, dark circles emphasizing his tiredness.
"But you instructed me to enter," replied Zeph in genuine tone.
Hearing Zeph’s words, Liamian appeared confused, trying to recollect if he had indeed summoned Zeph, narrowing his eyes as he contemplated, "Did I really?"
’Of course not, but does it matter?’ Zeph slowly advanced towards Liamian, who was waiting for a response.
"Yes, you told me to come inside. Otherwise, how would I even know where you were?" he continued.
Tap
Blankly gazing at Zeph with narrowed eyes, Liamian tapped the table before suddenly widening his eyes and nodding in agreement. "Indeed, it’s logical. How could you even reach here in the first place?"
’Indeed, you freaking psycho,’ Zeph thought to himself, maintaining a small smile, refraining from revealing his playful teasing, well aware of Liamian’s reliance on logic, despite his somewhat depleted reasoning.
Liamian’s commitment to logic sometimes overshadowed his common sense.
While it seemed beneficial, it also made him susceptible to being deceived by a more logical explanation, as had happened this time.
"So, what do you want from me?" Liamian’s voice turned firm, fixing his gaze on Zeph, who calmly replied, "I wanted to obtain the list of students participating in the test."
"What list?" Liamian tilted his head, appearing confused before recollecting something.
Not wanting to force his brain, He pointed toward a tree root where numerous documents lay, seemingly disregarded. "Check there."
’As if I’d actually do that, Psycho,’ Zeph thought to himself, resisting the urge to express his true thoughts aloud.
Zeph could clearly see spikes etched on the tree’s trunk, vines resembling nailed whips, adorned with leaves embedded with needles.
Going there would be the last thing he wanted.
"Yes, Professor, but I meant to ask, if it is the Student List, then shouldn’t this have just arrived today after you became our guide instead of Professor Banzihum?" Zeph turned to move towards the tree but stopped midway, turning to Liamian while trying to formulate a logical excuse to avoid getting closer to that thing.
"You take me for stupid." Suddenly, Zeph stopped in his path, turning towards Liamian who was glaring intensely at him, signaling Zeph’s understanding that, ’Here comes another bout of nonsense.’
"Of course, I know. Here, take this." Proving Zeph’s thoughts accurate, Liamian lifted a file from the table and passed it to him before signaling for him to leave.
Zeph took the file and turned to leave but halted as his eyes fell on a plant vase.
A small smile formed on his face as he turned towards Liamian, who was engrossed in his work.
"Professor, can I have that?" Zeph pointed towards it, making Liamian lift his eyes and glance at the plant, still just millimeters in size.
"Why would I give this to you?" Liamian shook his head, gesturing for Zeph to leave.
However, Zeph had already set his sights on it, making it impossible for him to depart without acquiring it.
"Exactly, I wanted to learn about flowering plants—" Zeph began to explain himself while thinking of the justification he needed to present.
"So?"
’Damn it.’ His mouth twitched at the interruption and Liamian’s blank gaze. ’Forget this logic.’
"Give me this, or I’ll need to visit you every day to learn about flowering plants, Professor." Zeph employed a classic method of dealing with professors who prefer isolation in their work.
"Do you really think—" Liamian began to say something but stopped midway, suddenly feeling a sensation. "Take it and don’t come inside."
"Thank you, Professor!" With that, Zeph swiftly used mana Transmutation to cover his hands with a shield, knowing about the plant and needing to do so before taking it and leaving the place.
Leaving Liamian’s office, a smile formed on Zeph’s face as he looked at the plant in his hands, before commanding his bracelet, ’Zendal, you can stop now.’
The reason Zeph used Zendal to enhance mana inside his eyes was simply to deceive Liamian, whose mind was slightly unique.
Due to the Mana Density inside his eyes, Liamian’s logic made him believe they were golden due to Mana, despite his senses saying otherwise.
However, Zeph knew that as simple as it was to manipulate him, defeating Liamian was incredibly difficult.
Not that he cared much, as Chrintain Valley wouldn’t engage fully until Professor Adriannel was present, giving Zeph assurance to move forward.
"Let’s water this plant," he murmured, continuing on.

Inside the office, Liamian sat on his chair, sensing something before turning his gaze toward the tree where a bunch of documents were placed.
CRUMBLE
Suddenly, the whole large tree split in two, revealing a gate inside, and Liamian vanished into it.
