Chapter 121 Nothing Can Harm My Belongings

Chapter 121 Nothing Can Harm My Belongings

"This is so much fun! Professor Hagrid gave us books that are designed to bite off our fingers."

Draco's wand burst into flames as he approached the Yo-Gi-Oh! book.

"I...I think they're pretty fun, so I thought I'd share them with you all," Hagrid said somewhat nervously.

Harry whispered, "Shut up, Malfoy!"

Seeing Hagrid's dejected look and Harry's eyes already blazing with excitement, Landric stopped Draco, saying, "Alright, Draco, Professor Hagrid just wanted to share something he found interesting."

Draco shut his mouth.

"Professor Hagrid, I think Draco said that out of concern for the students' safety. I believe Professor Hagrid won't hold a grudge against Draco, right?"

Hagrid's large, bearded face was slightly flushed.

In just a few words, Landric portrays Hagrid as a careless and playful character who neglects student safety.

As a professor, Hagrid has been labeled as unqualified by many students.

"Alright then," Hagrid said, sounding a little flustered. "Well... pick up your textbooks now. Of course... we're learning about Fantastic Beasts... wait a moment, I'll bring them over."

Hagrid hurriedly ran off and disappeared into the Forbidden Forest, leaving a group of students looking at each other in bewilderment.

Draco tugged at Landric's clothes and asked, "Brother, what do you think this magical creature Hagrid was talking about is?"

Looking at Draco's expectant expression, Landric vaguely felt that he had forgotten something.

"I only had one prophecy lesson. If you're really looking forward to it, you can go back to the castle now and find Trelawney, and have her give you a prophecy," he joked with Draco.

Draco rolled his eyes with remarkable elegance. "Good heavens, I think Hogwarts is doomed. A crazy woman and a giant idiot."

Landric neither confirmed nor denied it, but praised Draco, saying, "Little Dragon has become smarter. Now he finally stops swearing in front of people and has learned to whisper. Congratulations!"

Draco proudly pointed his nostrils at Landric.

Although Landric said the person in front of him was whispering, the fact that two people with high profiles were standing together inevitably drew more attention from the public.

Hermione stood behind the two, looking at Draco's nostrils with disdain, and said helplessly to Landric, "Why don't you stop spoiling him like this?"

Draco glared at Hermione.

"Oh oh oh oh oh!" Lavender Brown suddenly shouted, pointing at the paddock.

A dozen or so strange little animals trotted toward them. Landric had never seen anything like it before, and his eyes widened in astonishment.

The horse's body, hind legs, and tail, but its forelegs and wings resemble those of an eagle.

The eagle's talons on its front legs are half a foot long and look intimidating.

Each monster was chained around its neck, and eventually the chains converged in Hagrid's hand.

"Hurry up, this way!" Hagrid roared at the monsters, looking extremely happy.

"Hippogriffs!" Before even reaching the students, Hagrid began loudly introducing the monsters from a distance.

"Isn't it beautiful?"

Landric suddenly remembered something and pulled Draco back.

Draco was puzzled, but because he was very interested in these creatures, he exerted some effort and didn't want to stray from the center.

Landric looked at the hand he couldn't pull and immediately gave up on continuing to tug at the person, then began to retreat on his own.

The crowd's attention was now drawn to the hippogriff, and very few people paid attention to the boy who was retreating.

The boy standing at the back watched coldly as everyone gradually overcame their fear of the monster and slowly admired the glossy fur of the hippogriff.

Theodore Nott somehow ended up next to Landric.

"If your pet is disobedient, why not just get a new one?"

He could always see right through Landric's mind.

Landric's smiling face, which had been on when he started class, had now turned cold.

Just as Theodore Nott could always see through Landric, Landric could also see through what Theodore was thinking.

"Get lost." No matter how disobedient the pet is, it's his own pet, and it's no one else's place to say anything.

Draco, oh.

No matter what, he was the pampered young master of the Malfoy family. He had been trying to please someone but hadn't received a response. It was bound to make him feel rebellious to some extent.

"Okay," Hagrid rubbed his hands together and said with a smile, "If everyone gets a little closer..."

Of course, while everyone is quite accepting of these monsters, only Harry, Hermione, and Draco would actually take the first step.

"Remember, what you need to know about hippogriffs is that they are very proud and therefore easily angered. Never humiliate them, or you may lose your life."

Draco wasn't listening to any of it; his mind was completely occupied with how Landric had so easily let go of his hand.

Isn't he usually obedient? This time he just wanted to look at something he liked, so why did you pull him back without even giving him an explanation?

Or perhaps Landric had long been accustomed to his unconditional obedience, and when he suddenly became less compliant, he got angry?

"You must wait for the hippogriff to bow first; it's a matter of courtesy to them, understand?"

Draco looked at these beasts and became more and more annoyed. They were just a few animals; did he really need to treat them with courtesy?

"Alright—who wants to go first?"

Seeing everyone retreat in unison, Hagrid turned his gaze to Harry and adopted a pleading expression.

"I'll do it," Harry said.

A gasp rang out behind him. Lavender cried out, "Harry, no! Don't forget your tea!"

It would have been better if the tea hadn't been mentioned; the more it was brought up, the less Harry wanted to talk to these people, and he recklessly climbed over the fence of the enclosure.

"Well done, Harry," Hagrid encouraged. "Alright, now let's see how you handle Buckbeak?"

He unchained the gray harpy-headed horse-winged beast, pulling it away from its companion, and then removed its leather collar.

Everyone held their breath in unison.

"Alright Harry, you've made eye contact with it. Don't blink, or if you blink too often, it won't believe you."

Harry's eyes quickly became sore and filled with tears.

"Oh, right... now, bow..."

Harry did as Hagrid instructed, but the hippogriff still looked at Harry arrogantly.

Harry continued to back away as Hagrid had instructed.

Once they reached a certain range, the winged hippogriff made a move.

Its forelimbs suddenly bent down, making a bowing motion.

"Well done, Harry! Now you can slowly climb onto its back."

Most people cheered.

Twelve-foot wings carried Harry high into the air, and Harry let out a thrilling laugh.

Buckbeak flew around the paddock once before landing heavily.

"Well done!"

cheers surrounded Harry.

Harry glanced at Draco discreetly.

Draco drawled, "That's easy."

He walked toward Buckbeak as he spoke.

“I knew it would be like this all along. If Potter could do it… I dare say you’re not dangerous at all, are you?” he said to the hippogriff. “Aren’t you, you ugly beast?”

A steel-like claw flashed, and Draco let out a piercing scream as Buckbeak stretched out his neck to bite him again. Hagrid struggled to put the collar back on him, and Draco lay curled up on the grass, his robes stained with blood.

At that instant, a blue light flashed, and Buckbeak's head fell to the ground.

Blood splattered onto many students, and some fainted on the spot.

Landric teleported to Draco's side and gently picked him up.

"Professor Hagrid, I believe you have seriously neglected your duties in this lesson."

Landric gave Hagrid a cold look, uttered those words, and then left the scene carrying the injured man.

Nothing can harm his possessions.
