Chapter 335 We Werewolves Never Compromise

Chapter 335 We Werewolves Never Compromise

Chapter 335 We Werewolves Never Compromise

To be honest, Voldemort wasn't really clear on what "Werewolf's Wrath" meant.

He only felt that Graybury's face looked somewhat older than it had been a decade or so ago.

But... while time may have taken away Graybuck's black hair, it didn't take away his fawning smile.

Looking at Graybury, who was crawling at his feet with a big smile on his face.

Voldemort gave his assessment:

This is a good dog.

After being free-roaming for over a decade, it's time to put this dog to good use...

This absurd scene actually happened half an hour ago.

Upon hearing Brad's account, the enraged Greyback didn't waste a minute. He immediately took a few trusted men and used Apparition to stealthily enter the Forbidden Forest.

Under the gloomy sky, the Forbidden Forest appeared even more eerie and sinister. Thick snow covered the entire forest floor, making a soft "crunching" sound with their footsteps.

Every footstep seemed to echo through this deathly silent forest, sending chills down one's spine.

"Boss, are we really going to go find him?" one of the subordinates asked in a low voice, a hint of fear in his voice.

"Shut up!" Greyback growled in a low voice. "What are you afraid of? We are werewolves! No wizard can make us bow down! Today, I will make him pay the price and let everyone know that we werewolves never compromise!"

They continued deeper into the forbidden forest, the chill in the air growing stronger, each gust of wind feeling like a knife slicing through their skin, carrying an ominous premonition.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed from ahead, reverberating through the silent forest.

Graybury's eyes narrowed sharply as he sensed a familiar scent.

The next moment, a tall, thin figure slowly emerged from the depths of the woods, draped in a black robe, his head bowed, his face obscured.

Brad pointed tremblingly at the figure, his voice low and trembling with fear: "It's him—boss, it's him!"

Greyback's eyes narrowed sharply, a burning rage simmering within him. He stared at the mysterious dark figure ahead, his fury reaching its peak.

"You're the wizard who made me apologize?"

The shadowy figure did not respond, remaining head bowed and standing silently in place.

Greyback felt a sense of unease, but it was suppressed by anger.

He let out a low growl and charged forward, the werewolf's strength and speed exploding as he pounced on the figure like a beast unleashed from its cage.

However, just as he was about to pounce, the figure gently raised its head.

As he moved, a pale face without a nose came into Greyback's view. Those scarlet eyes seemed to see through everything, radiating a cold and deadly light.

"Master!" Graybury paused, his pupils suddenly contracting.

At that moment, all anger was replaced by intense fear.

Having served Voldemort for many years, Greyback was all too familiar with that face.

Even without a nose? Even without a nose!

Even Voldemort's face, now missing its nose, terrified Greyback even more.

"It's me," Voldemort replied with a cold laugh.

Graybury was startled, and his previously fierce posture froze.

He opened his mouth, trying to say something, but his throat felt as if something was tightly constricting it, and he couldn't make a sound.

"What did you just say? That werewolves will never compromise?" Voldemort's voice carried a hint of mockery and coldness. "I'd like to see how you refuse to compromise."

As he finished speaking, a powerful surge of magical energy erupted from his body. Caught off guard, Greyback was thrown backward by the force and crashed heavily to the ground.

"Boss!" Brad exclaimed, but dared not step forward, and could only cower in the back, witnessing everything.

Voldemort slowly approached Greyback, a cold smile on his face.

"You think you can stand against me, Graybury?"

"I—no, Master! I dare not!" Ignoring his own injuries, Graybury hurriedly shook his head. "I just—I just—didn't know it was you—"

Voldemort ignored his explanation and continued in a cold and contemptuous tone, "You've forgotten your place, Greyback. You're nothing but a dog I use. When did you ever have the guts to make your own decisions?"

Greyback's Adam's apple bobbed as he tried to defend himself, but found it extremely difficult to open his mouth. The powerful aura emanating from Voldemort made every word he uttered feel as heavy as a stone.

"Master—please forgive me—I don't know—." He said almost pleadingly, his eyes lowered, silently praying for Voldemort's forgiveness.

"You werewolves are always so foolish and arrogant."

Despite the racial discrimination he suffered, Graybuck remained frozen in place, too afraid to look up.

Voldemort said nothing more, but instead gently waved his wand. A green light flashed through the air and struck Greyback directly in the chest.

Greyback groaned as his body was pressed to the ground by some invisible force, rendering him unable to move.

"Starting today, I need you to do a few things for me..."

On the eve of Christmas, Hogwarts was transformed by colorful decorations.

Although few people remained at school, ribbons woven from holly and mistletoe still hung in the corridors, while twelve tall Christmas trees stood in the auditorium, their golden stars gleaming.

Outside the window, thick white snow covered the courtyard, and the air was filled with the sweet aroma of cooking, the smell of roast turkey and Christmas pudding making one's mouth water.

Sean hasn't left his office since he woke up in the morning.

His task today was quite demanding—wrapping Christmas gifts.

The table was piled high with all sorts of gifts, with wrapping paper, ribbons, and cards of different colors covering the entire surface.

These gifts included some he had carefully prepared for his friends, some for his students, and some special gifts for the students he had been paying attention to and helping.

Even Bella from Bristol, Narcissa from Wiltshire, and the Lily sisters from London were included.

The gift Sean had was for Hermione.

He carefully selected a rare ancient book, "The History of Ancient Charms and Magic," which was part of his collection from the last time he was in the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin.

This book not only contains profound magical theories, but also touches on some long-forgotten "mysterious stories" in the history of magic, perfectly satisfying Hermione's thirst for knowledge.

In addition, the gift box also contains a delicate quill pen with intricate runes engraved on its body, which can help make writing smoother and even repair minor damage to the paper.

Sean imagined Hermione's eyes sparkling when she received the gift, and a smile crept onto his face.

"Perhaps this gift can temporarily put aside her doubts about that night," Sean muttered to himself, a complex emotion flashing through his mind.

Sean looked away from Hermione's gift, sighed softly, and then picked up another gift from the table.

It was a brand new "Fire Arrow"—one of the most advanced flying brooms currently available. Its sleek shape, smooth curves, and exquisite craftsmanship combined perfectly, exuding a powerful sense of speed.

This gift was prepared for Cho Chang as a reward for Ravenclaw's recent Quidditch match.

"Perhaps this will motivate her to continue pushing her limits in the upcoming matches," Sean thought to himself, gently wrapping the wrapping paper around the smooth surface of the broom with exceptional care.

Akiharu's gift wasn't just the broom; the gift box also included a short card with the words, written in delicate handwriting: "Believe in your flight, believe in your courage."

This is Sean's message to Cho Chang; he hopes Cho Chang will be brave.

After wrapping the gift, Sean gently placed it on the corner of the table and then wrapped the other gifts:

An outfit prepared for Luna.

A candy gift package prepared for Susan.

A mask prepared for Daphne.

A note prepared for Penelope.

A thick book of English wizarding law was prepared for Dumbledore.

A set of books titled "The Story I Had to Tell with the Werewolf" was prepared for Snape, with his autograph.

A medieval cardinal's cross, prepared for Lupin and now part of the British Museum's collection.

A brand new set of wizard-killing tools prepared for Ron.

Specially made flight gloves for Harry.

There was also a guitar prepared for Sofia.

As for Tonks' gift, Sean has prepared an exceptionally generous amount this year, but please allow him to keep it a secret for now.

The banquet was held as scheduled, and the entire hall was transformed by magic, exuding a festive atmosphere.

Roast turkey, pumpkin pie, and Christmas pudding immersed everyone in this sumptuous dinner, with laughter and conversation filling the air.

Tonks sat in the corner, pretending to focus on eating the food on her plate, but her eyes kept sneaking glances at Sean sitting not far away. The evasiveness and hesitation in her eyes were obviously hidden by her usual carefree attitude.

Sean naturally noticed all of this, but he pretended not to know.

As the banquet came to an end, he calmly stood up, straightened his robe, and left the hall as if nothing had happened.

"It's time to act," he thought to himself, smiled slightly, and strode towards the Astronomical Tower.

Tonks was feeling uneasy. As she watched Sean's departing figure, she gripped her fork tightly, a faint blush creeping onto her face.

Normally fearless and daring, she always felt an indescribable tension and embarrassment in front of Sean.

"Will he go to the Astronomy Tower?" Tonks bit his lower lip gently, his heart beating faster.

The image of Sean leaving kept replaying in her mind.

Although he didn't say much, Tonks felt that he was hinting at something, perhaps...

She stood up, took a deep breath, tidied her hair, her palms slightly sweaty, and felt so nervous that she didn't know what to do.

Then, under the watchful eyes of Sophia and Hermione in the audience, she quietly left the Great Hall and followed Sean toward the Astronomy Tower.
