Chapter 310 Sophia's Enrollment

Chapter 310 Sophia's Enrollment

Sean is always very efficient.

The next morning, he went to see Professor McGonagall and explained Sophia's enrollment in detail.

Of course, he did not reveal Sophia's true identity, only briefly stating that Sophia was a distant relative of his who had been studying at a wizarding school in the United States, and that due to some special personal reasons, she hoped to study at Hogwarts for a period of time.

Such requests are not complicated; transferring schools or short-term stays are not uncommon in the history of Hogwarts—for example, Lucius tried to transfer Draco to Durmstrang School more than once.

Even at the outbreak of the Second Wizarding War, some people, including Susan, transferred schools for reasons that cannot be explained.

As times have progressed, exchanges and cooperation between magic schools have become increasingly frequent, so she did not have much doubt.

After listening to Sean's explanation, Professor McGonagall readily agreed to Sophia's application for admission and then handed over some necessary procedures to Sean, her "temporary guardian."

After several documents were signed, Sophia was officially assigned to Gryffindor House at Hogwarts and, at her insistence, joined the third-year curriculum.

Everything went much more smoothly than Sean had expected, and Professor McGonagall's support relieved him.

Although he hasn't fully adapted to Sofia being his daughter, the current situation is gradually making him accept reality.

When Sean returned to his office, Sophia was sitting leisurely in a chair reading a book.

Seeing this, Sean smiled with satisfaction and handed her the documents.

"You are now officially a student at Hogwarts, a third-year Gryffindor." He sighed softly. "However, you have to promise me one thing—don't cause too much trouble."

Sofia took the document, her eyes filled with excitement.

She gently waved the admission certificate in her hand, a sly smile playing on her lips: "Don't worry, Dad, I won't make things difficult for you."

"I hope so."

When Hermione awoke from her coma, it was already dinnertime.

She blinked blankly, her head feeling as heavy as if it were carrying a small mountain. The scene before her seemed unreal, as if everything was shrouded in a thin mist.

The surroundings were eerily quiet, except for the perpetually neglected faucet in Madam Tao's bathroom, from which the dripping sound echoed in the empty room.

The sound was exceptionally clear in the dim environment, carrying a certain unsettling rhythm.

Hermione's gaze slowly focused. The smooth, cold walls of the bathroom gleamed with a dim light, making it seem even more desolate and silent.

She sat up, her movements somewhat slow, her stiff shoulders protesting with a slight pain.

How did I fall into a coma?

The question lingered in her mind, and she tried hard to recall, only to find that her memory was completely blank.

Hermione squinted, trying to piece together the missing fragments—but to no avail.

It must be due to excessive studying and too much pressure these past few days that caused him to faint.

She gently pressed her temples, which slightly relieved the uncomfortable dull pain.

It seems that this is the only reason she can find to comfort herself.

Hermione knew that her high standards for learning and her almost harsh self-discipline would sometimes push her beyond her physical limits.

This is self-awareness.

Hermione sighed, stood up, and stretched her limbs, which ached from sitting for so long. Her joints made a faint cracking sound, reminding her that her fatigue had accumulated for far too long.

But even so, learning must continue.

Didn't she choose this path herself?

Hermione's eyes were still somewhat unfocused as she kept giving herself pep talks. She had a vague feeling that her unconsciousness today was unusual, but this unease was quickly suppressed by her rational thinking.

Perhaps due to exhaustion, her thoughts did not linger on these doubts.

Hermione quickly put those thoughts aside, after all, there were more pressing matters waiting for her to attend classes. Perhaps... getting a massage from Professor Sean to relieve stress would be a good option.

Yes, in the end, Hermione didn't go for a massage from Sean.

First, Hermione was embarrassed and afraid of burdening Sean unnecessarily; second, she was too tired to do anything at the end of the day; and third, she was shy.

A combination of factors made her stop in front of Sean's office.

The next day was another new day.

When Hermione woke up in her dorm room, the morning light streamed through the heavy curtains and onto the floor.

She still felt somewhat tired, but the mountain of courses weighed on her so much that she could stay in bed for too long.

She rubbed her eyes, trying to put the events of last night out of her mind and forcing herself to focus on today's lessons.

The first class today was a transformation class, which is one of her strengths that she has always been proud of.

After quickly washing up and getting ready, Hermione hurried toward the Transfiguration classroom.

Upon entering the classroom, a serene atmosphere immediately greets you.

She found a seat in the first row—Harry and Ron hadn't arrived yet; they were probably having breakfast in the Great Hall.

Hermione's stomach rumbled with hunger at the thought of a delicious breakfast.

Just then, the classroom door was gently pushed open, and Hermione instinctively looked up to see Professor McGonagall standing in the doorway.

A strange girl was following behind her, and Hermione frowned slightly.

The girl was tall and slender, wearing a Hogwarts robe, with her dark brown curly hair cascading over her shoulders, making her look exceptionally beautiful.

"Class, we have a new student joining your class today," Professor McGonagall said in her usual serious tone, her gaze sweeping over each student before finally settling on the new girl.

"This is Sophia Phillips, a transfer student from a magic school in America who will be studying with you for a while. I hope you will give her the welcome and support she deserves."

Hermione's brow furrowed even more.

Phillips?

The surname unconsciously reminded her of Sean.

She turned her gaze to Sophia, trying to find traces of Professor Sean in the girl.

The result: Upon closer inspection, she did indeed find that he resembled Professor Sean somewhat.

"You may choose an empty seat, Miss Phillips," Professor McGonagall said.

Sophia nodded, smiled, and glanced around the classroom. Her gaze lingered briefly on Hermione before she walked to the middle of the classroom and chose a seat by the window.

Soon after, Harry and Ron finally arrived at the classroom and hurriedly sat down next to Hermione. The two had just rushed over from the Great Hall.

Harry asked in a low voice, "What's going on? We sensed something was off as soon as we came in."

Hermione answered quietly as she opened her textbook, "The new student's name is Sophia Phillips, and she's from America."

"America?" Ron's eyes widened, clearly surprised. His gaze quickly swept over Sophia, a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "Which college is she from?"

"Gryffindor," Hermione replied simply, her gaze still occasionally glancing warily at Sophia.
