Chapter 308 You're really busy, Dad.

[PS: The previous setting has been changed; it was 15 years ago, not 10 years ago]

Hermione is gone.

She said she had things to take care of back home.

An "immoral" Minister of Magic assigned her many tasks to complete.

She also said that she and Sean had not slept together for almost six months.

Therefore, she was very grateful for Sean's comfort.

It allowed her to immediately let go of all the pressure and burdens she had been carrying during this period.

This news shocked Sean.

How did my future self manage to let Hermione, this beauty, go without touching her for six months straight?

However, this problem will soon be explained.

In the empty office, Sean stretched out his hand, his gaze landing on the wardrobe in the corner.

With a flash of silvery-white light, the isolation spell that had been covering the wardrobe disappeared.

The wardrobe door opened slowly, making a soft creaking sound.

Immediately afterwards, a girl came out from inside.

"Daddy, has Mommy left?"

Without a doubt, this is his and Hermione's daughter.

It was also the form Boggart took that afternoon when Hermione took the Defense Against the Dark Cube class in her place.

"Yes, she just left not long ago," he replied softly.

Sean only learned in the afternoon that he and Hermione had a daughter.

At that time, he was in his office preparing the monthly exam papers.

The afternoon sun shone through the window, making the papers on his desk shine.

Sean frowned, focusing on the stack of test papers in front of him, occasionally pausing to add or delete a few words from the questions.

The office was so quiet that only the faint sound of pens scratching paper and the occasional noise from the Quidditch stadium in the distance could be heard.

Just as he was about to put away the last exam paper, there was a gentle knock on the door.

He opened the door, and a strange little witch stood before him.

Before Sean could react, the little witch had already nimbly slipped into his office and deftly closed the door.

She looked no more than eleven or twelve years old, with a slender figure, delicate features, and a pair of large eyes full of curiosity and stubbornness.

She was wearing a Gryffindor wizard's robe, the cuffs slightly worn, but clearly once exquisitely handcrafted. "Who are you?" Sean frowned, his tone a mixture of wariness and confusion. He truly didn't recall seeing this child at Hogwarts.

The girl didn't answer immediately, but looked around the office as if to confirm something.

Then, she stood in front of the desk, her eyes revealing a complex emotion that was hard to describe, as if she were both excited and a little nervous.

"You must be Sean Phillips?" The girl's voice was clear and crisp, with an undeniable certainty.

"I am," Sean's brow furrowed even more. "Who exactly are you? Which college are you from?"

The girl suddenly gave a slightly mysterious smile.

She pulled a neatly folded photograph from her pocket and handed it to Sean.

Sean took it, a feeling creeping into his mind that this might not be an ordinary photograph.

"Dad, I am your daughter," the girl said casually, as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world.

Sean was stunned for a moment. His daughter?

Where did he get a daughter?

He instinctively thought it was a prank, but the serious and determined look on the girl's face made him waver.

He looked down and unfolded the photo—it was a picture of him and this strange girl.

In the photo, he looks a little older than he does now, with a calm smile on his face and his hand gently resting on the girl's shoulder.

The girl smiled brightly, her eyes filled with affection and trust in him.

The surrounding background is a green meadow, and the sunlight shines on them; it's an ordinary family photo.

However, the problem is that he has absolutely no recollection of having such a photo, let alone having such a daughter.

Then, Sean's gaze returned to the girl.

Sean felt relieved when the girl pulled a pocket watch out of her pocket.

It only took him three seconds to accept that his future daughter had traveled to the present to find him.

"So, why did you come back to me?" Sean paused for three seconds, then looked up and asked.

The girl answered confidently, "I secretly followed my mother back." She smiled smugly and then plopped down on the sofa.

"So, who is your... mother?" Sean had a vague answer in his mind, but he still asked the question unconsciously.

His gaze fell on the girl in front of him who looked like a witch. He watched her sit on the sofa and skillfully use her wand to direct the teapot to slowly pour out a cup of honey lemon black tea.

As the girl brought the teacup to her lips, she glanced up at him with a sly smile. "My mother is Hermione Phillips," she said matter-of-factly, her tone relaxed, as if it were an answer he should have known all along.

Sure enough, Sean breathed a long sigh of relief.

This answer shouldn't have surprised him.

Who else but Hermione Granger could have given birth to such a clever and slightly cunning little witch?

Her confidence, her composure, and even her mischievous smile instantly reminded Sean of Hermione.

He couldn't help but chuckle, and several other familiar female names quickly flashed through his mind.

Tonks Nymphadora?

The junior was unruly and single-minded, only knowing how to be an Auror, and was completely different from the girl in front of her.

Think about Luna Lovegood again.

That's somewhat possible, but the two people have obvious differences in appearance.

No matter how Sean observed her, he couldn't find anything in common between this girl and Luna.

Or perhaps Qiu Zhang?

Speaking of which, this semester's Quidditch matches are crucial for Ravenclaw, and Cho Chang, as...

Sorry, I've gone a bit off-topic.

Sean turned his gaze back to the girl, watching her gracefully lift her teacup and take a small sip.

This little one really does resemble her mother, both in her mannerisms and her intelligent speech.

Thus, Sean, whose fatherly love was forcibly awakened a few years ahead of schedule, began to show concern and care for the girl.

Are you thirsty?

"I'll just have honey lemon black tea."

Are you hungry?

"A slice of Black Forest cake, please."

Having received clear instructions, Sean immediately got up, as if he had been given some important task, and took out the cabinet where he usually stored snacks from his briefcase.

Then he piled the candy, potato chips, and cut Black Forest cake onto the table in front of the girl.

His actions earned him a sweet kiss from his daughter.

"Thank you, Dad. Dad is the best."

Feeling the wetness on his face, Sean sincerely envied his future self ten years from now.

Unfortunately, the time-change converter can only go back to the past, not to the future.

Otherwise, he really wanted to experience what kind of idyllic life he would lead in the future.

Watching the girl gracefully eat the Black Forest cake, Sean thought of many things.

But before he could speak, the girl spoke up, as if she had already guessed what he was going to ask.

"My name is Sophia Phillips, I am twelve years old, and I am a second-year student in Gryffindor."

"I—"

You have three daughters.

"Three?"

"Hmm," Sofia put down her fork and carefully counted on her fingers, "One for Aunt Luna, one for Aunt Tonks, and one for Aunt Penelope."

After counting, she shook her head helplessly and sighed.

"Aunt Cho Chang is busy with Quidditch team matters, so she hasn't planned to have children for the past two years. Aunt Daphne's belly is always uncooperative, and there's also Yi Yi."

"Wait a minute." Sean quickly raised his hand, his eyes filled with shock, completely unable to keep up with Sophia's pace.

He thought he was mentally prepared to understand his future, but his daughter's first few words completely threw his brain into a daze.

"Three girls?" he repeated subconsciously, trying to accept this reality.

Sofia stopped, looked up at him, and gave him a nonchalant expression. "Hmm, three daughters. Did you think I was the only one?" She shrugged, her tone indifferent, clearly used to this kind of life.

"Wait, speak slowly." Sean took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. "You just said someone has a daughter?"

"Okay, listen carefully," Sophia picked up the teacup next to her, cleared her throat, and explained with a bit of helplessness, "Aunt Luna, you and she have a daughter named Becky—but that's not the point. The point is that she and I are very close. Although my mother thinks she's a bit strange, she's really a good person."

The image of Luna Lovegood, that quirky and mischievous girl, flashed quickly through Sean's mind.

Sophia, oblivious to Sean's reaction, continued counting on her fingers. "Aunt Tonks, your daughter's name is Carol. She's a bit like Aunt Tonks; she can change her appearance and is always very lively. Christmas is always fun at your house because she always shows up in a different guise."

"Aunt Penelope, your daughter is a top student named Perry. She's a lot like her mother, incredibly smart. She was already studying advanced magic in her third year of Ravenclaw." Sofia finished speaking, then sighed helplessly, "You're really busy, Dad."
