Chapter 104 - 140- Estelle Proposal or declaration

BANG

With a punch enforced by his mana, Zeph propelled Estelle to a considerable distance before redirecting his attention towards the reckless woman.

’Seraphina!’

Zeph swiftly called out his artifact as Thalia emerged from the barrier and kicked Estelle while forgetting about her being inside middle of the ocean.

He felt bewildered by Thalia’s sudden behavior but remained urgent to take care of her safety, prompting Seraphina to form another barrier to contain her inside.

WHOOSH

"Haaa....haa..I thought I was going to die," Thalia caught her breath inside the barrier, feeling a sense of calmness after holding it for some time.

The cause for her sudden exit from the barrier was solely to handle the woman who disrupted their peaceful moment.

Throughout this encounter, Zeph remained shirtless while Thalia stood there alone, wearing his shirt, creating a moment that felt akin to a date within the expanse of the ocean.

While they were on the verge of sharing a tender moment, a buzzing bee abruptly intruded between them, interrupting their lovely exchange.

FLICK

"Ouch, W-why?!" Thalia felt a sudden flick on her forehead and rubbed it, turning to Zeph whose expression showed visible annoyance due to her carelessness.

"Why, you ask? Idiot, we are in the middle of the ocean!", Zeph’s hand rubbed his temples in exasperation as he observed the girl, who appeared to gaze at him as though he’d committed a mistake by hiting her.

Acknowledging his need to not see this girl sad like that, he pulled her into an embrace, resting his chin on her caramel-colored hair. Gently, he whispered, "Don’t be careless, Thalia; it hurts me"

Thalia’s emerald eyes widened as she comprehended the significance, realizing that her pain had now become his, a warmth filled her heart, forming a blush in her face.

Trying to hide her crimson blush, she buried her face into his chest, while softly murmured, "Sorry"

"See, it’s that easy to make you forget that flick, " Zeph remarked with a slight chuckle, implying that his sugar-coated words were intended to make her remove that pouted face of hers.

Though she felt irritated, wanting to have a talk to him, she chose to deal with it after a long hug, not willing to protest and wanting to bask in his warmth a little longer.

"She’s coming again," Thalia’s eyes snapped open, her emerald gaze shining with irritation.

Her Intuition had warned her about the interruption’s return – the interruption she had already dealt with once, ’This damn fish’

"Here she comes,"

Zeph slowly guided Thalia backward while their gazes remained locked, reluctant to part.

Sensing Estelle approaching rapidly, he issued a command, ’Zendal, execute Outburst directly, and use Mana Transmutation to cover my skin with thin layer of mana’

SWISH

"Hahaha, you finally did it, you human bastard!"

Estelle’s shiny-eyed anger manifested visibly as a sword materialized from the water, pointed directly at Zeph, narrowing the vast distance within mere moments.

’From where she appears to be an elegant woman’, Zeph’s expression twitched as he witnessed the very reason he had referred to this girl as a villainess.

He might have still believed that there was a possibility of Estelle having some valid reasons for her antagonistic actions throughout, but what utterly discredited that notion was her foul mouth, and one that was just irritative.

Estelle held the title of the Most Cursing Heroine, having used so many foul words that it turned off several readers who initially believed she might have had some redeeming qualities.

Zeph, known for his own bullying tendencies, found her words even more unpleasant than his own, he even learnt one or two words from her — accepting her as his cursing mentor.

Watching her laugh like a maniac with those eyes, he realized that the elegance she had previously maintained shattered the moment his punch landed on her.

BANG

With a loud clash, Estelle collided with Zeph, her sword deflected by another mana sword formed in Zeph’s hand.

"T-this!?" Estelle anticipated Zeph using his Awakened abilities a bit, proving his endurance, but upon the contact of her sword with his formed by Mana Transmutation, she felt how rigid it was.

Her gaze met his shining golden eyes, a surge of emotions clouding her mind, preparing herself for the impending fight and welcoming her eventual fury, "It’s a relief you’re not merely a punching bag"

’She definitely have talent to piss me off’, Zeph couldn’t help but frown as he observed her, trying to fathom the angle from which this individual infront of him appeared as a woman, her mouth alone was enough to infuriate anyone.

As his mana channeled rapidly, propelling his body forward, he realized his disadvantage in the water against Estelle’s advantage. If they were on land, the situation might be different.

BOOM

Estelle propelled Zeph backward with a powerful kick, executing a mid-air backflip within the water, then manipulating the water’s density beneath her to shoot herself forward.

’Shit! ’ Zeph assessed her figure vanishing and understood the immense speed she gained using her water advantage.

Taking a battle stance, Clenching his fist while Gritting his teeth, he commanded, ’Guinier, Outburst demonic energy!’

WHOOSH

An intense aura erupted from Zeph’s body, creating a haze that appeared like ink dispersing underwater, filled with several small hovering mana crystals, all directed towards Estelle at an astonishing speed.

’NOW! ’ Zeph’s sword disappeared as he formed a claw with his hands before Clenching it in fist, causing the tiny mana crystals concealed within the demonic energy to shoot towards Estelle’s swiftly approaching figure—a sequence of events that unfolded in the blink of an eye

CLANK

Several tiny shards of mana burst forward, colliding with Estelle.

Her sword managed to deflect most of the barrage, but the speed and inability to detect them made it challenging to divert her focus.

The dense water fields around her weren’t enough to completely fend off every projectile, forcing her to use her sword to avoid some due to their rapid velocity and strength.

"Kughhhh...Damn it, you bastard, fight like a man!"

Estelle felt frustrated for being unable to detect the mana crystals and enduring the continuous attacks.

Some of the shards scratched her skin, leaving wounds that were rapidly regenerating in the water, making the process seem never-ending.

Meanwhile, Zeph’s mana seemed unending, adding to her frustration.

"And, you speak like a woman!", Zeph retorted back hearing her words, feeling a sense of satisfaction seeing her struggle with those projectiles.

Zeph, while battling, intentionally used Guinier’s demonic energy to fill the surroundings, the energy repelling Estelle’s water-based abilities and serving as camouflage to hide the mana crystals.

His ability limited to his body forced him to find alternative ways to utilize it, leading him to use his abilities outside his body.

He commanded Zendal to perform mana Transmutation on his skin, keeping it thin to allow the Guinier’s demonic energy to burst out of him, creating shards that scattered like glass and aimed toward Estelle.

He repeatedly propelled these particles toward her, disrupting her movements.

However, his actions had a significant drawback.

’ugh’, Zeph gritted his teeth, feeling a wince inside his brain.

The absence of Seraphina, who protected him from the corrosion caused by the demonic energy, became evident.

He always kept Guinier and Seraphina together to balance each other’s energy and nullify the drawbacks of Guinier’s energy.

Feeling her irritation fueling due to these annoyances Zeph was rapidly throwing towards her, she retracted her sword and pushed forward with her hands, while clenching it in a claw.

"Damn you! Want to play the throwing game, huh?"

SWOOSH

Suddenly, dozens of spikes began forming beside her, growing denser by the second, as her anger surged.

In an instant, her energy spikes shot towards Zeph, without any hesitation of caring about his life only her mind feeling with irritation,’ I will just tell grandpa to heal him’

She resolved to heal Zeph after defeating him to near-death, intending to then seek assistance from her grandfather to tend to his injuries, showing no concern for his well-being.

’This idiot! ’,Zeph swiftly retracted his demonic energy as the spikes approached, despite the pain in his head, he summoned another of his cheats.

’Luinera, burst forward, Gale!’ he commanded, urging the guardian bird within him to use one of its abilities, realizing it was time to unleash all the efforts he had put into himself during his first year at the academy.

WHOOSH

Suddenly, a blue bird burst out of his body, expanding its size and unfurling its wings, creating a chilling gale that froze a section of the water, effectively crystallizing Estelle’s spikes.

"You have a Guardian Bird too," Estelle observed the sudden appearance of this new entity, perplexed by the number of abilities this guy possessed. Was he a prodigy, or...?

Swiftly, her gaze turned towards him, a realization dawning as she connected the dots from the recent events since her arrival.

Her voice reached her father’s ears, the lifting of the imposed restrictions, and the culmination of all these incidents led her to one conclusion, "So, it’s you!"

Her hands slowly loosening, her eyes fixed on Zeph, who braced himself for any potential impact while remaining wary of her next move.

Estelle’s lips parted, and she spoke while averting her gaze from him, "Y-you filthy human! You should be glad that I’ve chosen you as my husband"

"S-sorry?" Zeph responded, surprised by her unexpected declaration

Upon hearing his response, Estelle turned her gaze toward Zeph, her face flushed crimson and her lips quivering with thoughts known only to her. In a bold declaration, she spoke aloud.

"I want you to marry me!"
