Chapter 101 - 137 - Rezekiel Collins; Present Aqua Lord
’Is this a dream?’
Estelle kept looking blankly at them, still not believing that her words had reached them.
To confirm her doubts, She tried to change another major part of her life.
"I want to annul my engagement with Hursen" Everyone turned towards her, and seeing their reactions, Estelle at least understood they could hear her words.
Hursen was from one of the branch families. His father had sacrificed himself to save her father, leading Estelle to impulsively propose an engagement to show her gratitude.
But upon reflection, she realized her decisions were influenced by the world’s will, aiming for Hursen and her to witness the destruction of their world.
In her seventh chance, Estelle realized that Hursen was bound to her by fate, a cruel mockery of destiny — they were incompatible with each other
Neither Hursen nor she loved each other, but one small word sealed their fate.
Bound by the world’s will, Estelle couldn’t even reject her proposal, and Hursen, merely a member of the Branch family, his rejection would only bring insult — especially to the Main family.
After living with him for so long mainly in each chance, she discovered he had visions of her destined future or his failed past.
Seeing a hope to save her family but again destiny played a cruel twist with her — Hursen’s abilities were completely unreliable.
Looking toward everyone, her eyes turned to one of the elders, who was also Hursen’s maternal uncle, She wondered if her words had sounded disrespectful. ’I shouldn’t have mentioned—’
"That damn Lobster! How dare he!" The elder erupted in anger, already planning several ways to deal with his nephew with visible frustration on his face.
"Pffftt," Estelle, seeing everything return to normal, couldn’t contain her laughter. Wiping a tear from her eye, she turned toward her father before moving towards him, ’finally!’
"W-what happened, Estelle?" Avendial, seeing his daughter approaching, felt confused. ’Does she want to share some secret?’
He concluded that maybe there was a traitor among them, but it still didn’t aligned with his daughter’s haughty personality, Normally she could have just beaten that individual herself.
"Dad, follow me"
Her words seemed commanding which he could have somewhat followed but at that moment, he was seated as Admiral, making it impossible to just follow someone’s orders.
"Be respectful—"
’!?’
His eyes widened as he felt her hand grasp his finger, pulling him away from the throne and guiding him in a specific direction.
As a father who had seen his daughter grow up without a mother, he had always yearned to fill that void. However, his responsibilities restrained him from dedicating ample time to her.
Due to this, he had never witnessed her being this assertive before.
Typically, she would merely adopt a haughty demeanor even around the strongest people due to the presence of someone stronger standing behind her — her Grandfather
Even though he wanted to stop her Avendial calmly acknowledged his daughter’s emotional turmoil, making him understand the gravity of the situation — he could feel her hydration level.
Human bodies are made up of 60% water. Just as the moon influences tides through gravitational force, emotions also affect the body’s water levels — like stress, happiness, and other intense Emotions.
And this fact becomes even more true for Cratens because their 80% body is made up of water.
Suddenly, Stopping in her path making Avendial confused, she turned towards all the present figures," Elders, please call as many soldiers as you can. We are going to the Capital City now"
Estelle, without wasting any time, aimed to solve a crucial problem — rooting out the traitors among the Cratens.
’!?!’
"W-what! Young miss, but so sudden?" One of the elders voiced his bewilderment at her sudden proposal.
The Capital City of Thallasar was the main center of Aquatoria — Religion Cratens followed, making it holy for them.
Apart from admirals, no one could barge in uninvited, it would be disrespectful to their Goddess Aqua.
However, here their Miss wanted to act recklessly.
"Estelle!" Avendial pulled his finger from her grip, feeling bewildered by her childish behavior, ’Should have understood’
Though they cared for her more than anyone, her childhood habit of playing pranks was well known.
While it had diminished since she joined the Academy, ’I guess she’s started it again’
"What!?" Estelle, hearing her father’s loud voice and feeling his finger slip from her grasp, replied in the same tone.
Even though it seemed disrespectful, it was her daily thing, being a Villainess, it was a perk to not have any fear of loose one’s image, making her act as haughty as she wanted.
And her voice was boosted due to fear that they might again start to ignore her words making her mind fall into a state of panic.
"E-Estelle, my dear daughter, it’s not ti—"
"I take an oath in the name of Goddess Aqua. Please, you have to believe me. I am serious right now" Estelle, who had waited for so long, interrupted her father, not wanting to waste any moment and trying to convey the seriousness of the situation
WHOOSH
Several auras broke through in sync.
Everyone jumped from their platforms, landing beside Avendial, who was in a daze, before they all knelt in unison.
’"Lord, allow us to gather all the soldiers"’
It might seem unrealistic to suddenly gather all soldiers and enter a place that was holy to them moments ago.
However, Estelle confirmed her actions by taking an oath.
Cratens were not superstitious about their religion, but the energy that connected them to their roots, allowing communication with Water, was referred to as Aqua and even as Goddess Aqua by some.
When a Craten took an oath on the name of this energy, it was akin to immersing oneself in water, worse than death — an eternal servitude until consciousness vanished.
Avendial was in a daze due to the step his daughter had just taken, making him realize the seriousness of the matter.
Though he still couldn’t understand why she wanted to go to the Capital but he acknowledged its importance.
"No need for soldiers", He turned towards the elders but noticing the sincerity in his daughter’s request, "Call Father"
GASP
Everyone’s eyes widened at the mention of the figure in question, including Estelle.
’G-grandfather!?’
Estelle’s eyes widened as she remembered the figure whose absence was the most painful thing she had to endure in every life.
There was a reason Estelle was the most spoiled child among those present, even more than Noah, who was not as popular among people as she was.
Though everyone had contributed to shaping her haughty personality, the major influence on her title came from her Grandfather — one of the two living Aqua Lords.
Just as the peak for humans was an Archmage, Aqua Lords represented the highest level a Craten could attain, placing these figures at the pinnacle among all three realms.
Estelle was confident that if her Grandfather had been present in the battle that day, the outcome would have been certain; not even thousands of PyroGenerals could have touched the Cratens.
"T-thank you, Father, for believing me!"
Estelle swiftly turned towards her father, feeling grateful for him to go to such lengths as to call her grandfather.
"Listen, Estelle, I’m not calling Grandfather because I believe you or something." Avendial looked towards his daughter, his hands slowly gripping her wrist while a small smile formed on his face.
Seeing him like this, Estelle felt confused before hearing his next words.
"It’s just that the oath you took will result in a very good beating."
"Hehh?"
Looking at her father blankly for a moment, Estelle’s brain started processing the consequences of her actions.
Despite the urgency she felt in addressing the main cause of the Craten’s downfall as soon as possible felt hasty but from her perspective, going through countless lives and repeatedly witnessing the death of loved ones made nothing seem too hasty.
However, her haste had led to a significant mistake.
’No,no, Not that!’
Solving other’s problems would have to wait; now, she would have to endure a beating from her Grandfather.
Of course, in Thallasar, only two people were permitted to lay a finger on Estelle: Morgan and Lord Rezekiel — her Grandfather and an Aqua Lord.
"N-no, Old man! Let go of my hands!" Estelle shouted, feeling the impending humiliation.
As a grown adult, the thought of being beaten like a child was utterly disgraceful.
She just wanted to leave; now that she was certain her words could reach these people, she could explain everything later.
But her father, who was already angry at her for recklessly taking an oath, only desired to reprimand her at that moment.
However, his hands were figuratively tied by the presence supporting his daughter and He couldn’t ask Morgan to handle the task of beating her, so he resigned himself to letting that same figure handle it.
"F-father, wait! My friends are coming here. Let me fetch them!" Estelle suddenly sensed individuals approaching rapidly in her direction, finding it an opportunity, she tried to escape.
Avendial, though aware it might be an excuse, focused his senses, and his narrowed eyes acknowledged the truth behind her words. ’As expected of your daughter, Dear’
Sensing something from such a distance was an impressive feat on its own, and his daughter once again proved her prodigious abilities by doing so.
In truth, Estelle’s senses and strength surpassed any other Cratens due to reliving the same life repeatedly and bounded by her fate, she honed her skills by affording her ample time in it.
And being a prodigy, her abilities had elevated to an enormous level.
"Go, bring them to meet me. Then we will visit your grandfather together"
