"Manager Ford." Thomas Lewis stood up from his chair, slightly puzzled, and asked, "You just called me and told me to stall Damian Knight. What’s going on here? Isn’t my niece about to marry Damian Knight? We’re all family, what’s this all about?"
Manager Ford gave a dry laugh and said, "Chairman Lewis, I don’t know the specifics either. It’s all at the behest of the chairman’s wife."
Thomas Lewis pressed his temples and complained, "My sister really, always wanting to save face, even putting on airs in front of Damian Knight. I want to make this clear, playing hard to get is one thing, but if you go too far and anger Damian Knight, and he decides not to marry Willow, it’ll all be for nothing!"

Talking as he walked towards the two women.

As Thomas Lewis spoke, he lightly tapped the backside of the woman next to him with a golf club.
"Naughty!" The woman giggled, her laughter like a stream.
The assistant beside Manager Ford looked at Thomas Lewis’s behavior and couldn’t help but whisper to Manager Ford, "Manager, why didn’t you tell him that the young lady seems to be having a disagreement with Damian Knight in Crestfall?"
"Fool! If that were told, how would the benefit-first Thomas Lewis continue to cooperate with us in stalling Damian Knight? The wife said to apply some pressure on Damian Knight so he sees the advantages of marrying the young lady; only then will this marriage solidify."
However, right after Manager Ford spoke, Thomas Lewis’s assistant hurried over, calling out as he ran, "Chairman, something’s wrong!"

"No, Chairman, something really happened!"
Thomas Lewis curled a corner of his mouth, handed the golf club to the woman, then walked toward the assistant and coldly asked, "What exactly happened?"
The assistant quickly said, "I followed your orders to reserve the Zale Hotel, but I found out that Damian Knight had arranged to meet Raymond Yates from the Yates Group for dinner there."
Upon hearing this, Thomas Lewis’s pupils instantly shrank to a point.
"Raymond Yates?! Are you sure there’s no mistake? Damian Knight went to collaborate with Raymond Yates?"
The assistant said uncertainly, "The private room was reserved by Raymond Yates, and Young Master Knight is attending the appointment. I don’t know if they’re discussing cooperation or if he’s simply showing Raymond Yates some courtesy."
"Then what are you waiting for? Go investigate quickly!"
"Yes!"
