Chapter 88 End of Semester
Chapter 88 End of Semester
The train slowly pulled into the station, the wheels constantly clattering against the rails, making a rhythmic "clack-clack" sound that drifted in the afternoon breeze, much like a retro melody.
As the train slowed down, it let out a long whistle, the sound of which pierced through the afternoon sunlight.
Finally, the train stopped at platform 9¾ at King's Cross Station.
On the platform, the crowd began to surge. Some passengers hurriedly dragged their luggage, walking without stopping; others stood leisurely to the side, or looked around, waiting for their relatives and friends to appear.
Sunlight filtered through the station's awnings, dappling the platform and adding warmth to the bustling afternoon.
A withered old guard stood at the partition wall, allowing only two or three people to pass at a time, so that they wouldn't burst out of the solid wall in large numbers and attract the attention of the Muggles.
So it took the three little ones a long time to all walk out of the platform.
During this process, people kept passing by.
Harry kept hearing shouts in his ears:
Goodbye, Harry!
"Potter, best of luck!"
Hearing these farewells, Ron grinned and said to Harry, "Looks like you're still as famous as ever."
“It won’t be where I’m going, I assure you,” Harry replied.
He walked through the exit alongside Ron and Hermione.
"Mom, he's over there! Look!"
The voice came from Ginny—Ron's sister—but she wasn't referring to Ron.
"Harry Potter!" she screamed excitedly. "Mommy, look! I see it—"
"Ginny, don't shout so loudly," Mrs. Weasley gently corrected her. "It's very impolite to point at people randomly."
Mrs. Weasley looked down at them with a warm smile.
"You must have been very busy this past year?" she asked with concern.
"I'm certainly very busy," Harry replied. "Mrs. Weasley, thank you so much for the fudge and sweater."
"Oh, that's nothing, my dear," Mrs. Weasley said softly.
"Hey, are you ready?" A sudden remark from the side shattered the harmonious atmosphere.
Harry looked up and saw that it was his Uncle Vernon speaking. His face was still flushed, and his angry eyes, hidden beneath his thick beard, were fixed on Harry.
In this station full of ordinary people, Harry, carrying a cage containing an owl, stood out conspicuously, which undoubtedly exacerbated Uncle Vernon's displeasure.
Behind him, Aunt Petunia and Cousin Dudley stood awkwardly, their faces showing fear at the sight of Harry.
"You must be Harry's family, right?" Mrs. Weasley tried to ease the tension.
"You could say that," Uncle Vernon replied curtly. "Hurry up, kid, we don't have that much time to waste." With that, he turned and walked away without looking back.
Harry wanted to stay and say a few more words to Ron and Hermione, but the urgency of the situation forced him to say a brief goodbye.
"See you after summer vacation," Harry said hastily.
"Have a good holiday... um... have a good time," Hermione replied, her gaze still fixed incredulously on Uncle Vernon's departing figure, marveling at the existence of such an offensive person in the world.
"Honey~ I've finally found you!" Hermione heard a familiar and warm voice from behind her.
She turned around and saw her parents standing not far away, their faces beaming with smiles and anticipation.
"Mom and Dad!" Hermione exclaimed excitedly, running quickly toward them.
She hugged her mother tightly, feeling that long-lost warmth and sense of security.
"You look thinner. Are you studying too hard?" Hermione's mother asked with concern, gently stroking her daughter's face. In the process, she also noticed the change in her daughter. "Honey, you look... a little different?"
Mrs. Granger's tone was somewhat hesitant.
If she hadn't seen Hermione pulling on the eye-catching pink suitcase she had taken with her when she left, she might not have even recognized it as her own precious child.
Not only was her messy hair combed into a smooth and neat style, but her clothing also underwent a complete transformation.
She looks...like the daughter of one of those noble, wealthy men living in the Parkington district.
"Mom, I met so many people at Hogwarts..."
......
Sean stared blankly at the photos he had just had magically developed.
This must be the earliest photo book of a young girl in the wizarding world...?
During this period, photo books were very popular in Japan. For example, in 1971, Japanese actress Kaga released a photo book called "Private Life". In the 80s, there was the Japanese magazine "Photo Era". In 85, there was a special issue of "The Absolute Temperature of Naked" in "BRUTUS". And last autumn, Rie Miyazawa released a nude photo book called "Santa Fe", which sold a total of 150 million copies.
However, Japanese photo books are so explicit that the word "photo book" itself has become a synonym for certain indescribable items after being translated.
In recent decades, Europe and America haven't produced many impressive photo albums. However, Sean knows that Madonna will release a revolutionary photo album soon this year, which will once again conquer the world with her sexiness and stunning figure.
Therefore, it is clear that the photo book that Sean is holding now is the earliest photo book of young girls in the wizarding world.
However, it is different from the ones mentioned above.
The photos he took were purely green and healthy, just like the photos taken in photography studios in later generations.
As a self-proclaimed professional photographer, Sean's photography skills are truly exceptional.
He can effortlessly strike any pose or angle.
He captured the unique characteristics of the two girls perfectly in the photos.
Of course, he would only choose the most serious one as the cover image for The Wizard Killer. He would make the others into a photo album and give it to the two girls when they were about to graduate, as part of their youthful memories.
With that in mind, Sean carefully hid the photos in the bottom drawer of his desk, and as if afraid it wasn't discreet enough, he added several layers of protection.
He finally breathed a sigh of relief after he had done all that.
It seems... he's finished the last thing he needed to do this semester at Hogwarts.
Sean slowly walked to the window, opened it, and quietly looked at the scenery outside.
As night gradually fell, the afterglow on the horizon was as magnificent as an oil painting.
Looking at the usually bustling grass, now completely deserted, Sean couldn't help but feel a sense of loss.
Has this year just passed by like that?
And just like that, the year has passed.
Just then, a refreshing evening breeze blew by, gently brushing across the table. The calendar pages began to turn softly in the breeze, making a rustling sound, until the calendar turned to the page that Sean had folded up.
He marked it with a red pen, and it read in bold:
Hello, holiday...
(Volume 1 is officially finished. To be continued...)
