Chapter 60 A Truly Good Person

Chapter 60 A Truly Good Person

"let's go."

Sean and Hagrid led the four young wizards to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, raised their lanterns high, and pointed to a narrow path that gradually disappeared into the depths of the dark forest.

Before entering the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid turned around and gave some instructions to the young wizards.

"Listen carefully now. What we're about to do tonight is very dangerous. Professor Sean and I don't want anything to happen to any of you, so stay close behind Professor Sean and me."

The four young wizards thought Hagrid was just joking, but when they turned to look at the equally serious Professor Sean, they realized that tonight's operation might really be extraordinary.

"We understand, Hagrid, Professor Sean," the four young wizards answered in unison, their expressions becoming serious.

"Very good," Hagrid nodded. "Remember, no matter what happens, don't panic, stay calm, and follow my and Professor Sean's instructions."

After saying that, he and Sean exchanged a glance, and then he walked into the Forbidden Forest first.

Four young wizards followed closely behind, their lamps illuminating the dark path. The surrounding area was filled with dense trees, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of the forest and a touch of mystery.

They walked in silence, their footsteps echoing through the woods.

The young wizards began to feel both nervous and excited.

For some reason, Harry felt something was off about the Forbidden Forest. Just as he was about to speak, Hagrid suddenly spoke up.

“Look over there,” Hagrid said. “Do you see that glittering thing on the ground? Silvery? That’s unicorn blood.”

"Recently, there have been frequent attacks on unicorns in the Forbidden Forest. I found one dead last Wednesday. Our mission in the Forbidden Forest is to search for as many unicorns as possible."

"What if the thing that harmed the unicorn finds us first?" Malfoy asked.

"As long as you're with me or Professor Sean, no creature in the Forbidden Forest will harm you," Hagrid said. "Don't stray from the path. Now, let's split up and follow the trail of blood. There's blood everywhere; it's clearly been stumbling around since at least last night."

However, only Sean knew that their operation was destined to be a failure.

Because during the transaction yesterday, he witnessed Voldemort kill that poor unicorn.

He came here today for two reasons.

The first thing is to clean up last night's battlefield and see if anything was left behind.

Secondly, ever since he entered this forbidden forest yesterday, he has had a strange feeling about it.

As for what was strange about it, he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

After Hagrid said that they would split into two groups, Hermione and Malfoy instinctively stood behind Shaun and automatically formed two teams.

They were both Sean's class representatives.

So Harry and Ron traveled with Hagrid.

Sean and Hagrid agreed to use a spark as a signal to assemble.

A green spark means you've found a unicorn; a red spark means you've encountered trouble.

Then, Sean and Hagrid parted ways at a fork in the road, each with their own little wizard.

The three of them walked silently, their eyes fixed on the ground.

Every now and then, a ray of moonlight would shine through the branches above, illuminating a patch of silvery-blue blood on a fallen leaf.

"Could it be that the werewolf killed the unicorn?" Hermione asked.

Sean shook his head. "It's difficult. Catching a unicorn is no easy task."

When the three of them had been walking for an unknown amount of time, they suddenly heard some strange noises coming from the bushes nearby.

Sean immediately drew his wand, shielding the two young wizards behind him. "Who's there? Come out!"

A figure emerged from the bushes.

He was rather odd – his upper body was human, with red hair and a beard, but his lower body was a shiny, brownish-red horse with a long red tail trailing behind him.

"And who are you? What are you doing in the Forbidden Forest?" the centaur said, raising his bow and arrow. But seeing the two young wizards hiding behind Sean, he lowered the arrow slightly and said in an unfriendly tone, "I'm warning you, human wizards, this is centaur territory. Get out of here now."

"I am a professor at Hogwarts, and these two are my students. We are here to investigate..."

"Get out of here!" Before Sean could finish speaking, the centaur in front of him had already slowly drawn back the bowstring.

Whenever he encounters someone he can't communicate with, Sean has his own unique set of persuasion techniques.

When he was weak, his skills leaned towards language; but as his strength increased, he preferred to use magic.

Because the latter will save a lot of trouble.

Just as the atmosphere between the two sides was becoming tense, a rustling sound came from the bushes nearby.

A second centaur emerged—his eyes were an astonishing blue, like pale sapphires.

Sean recognized the handsome centaur.

It's Ferencze.

He had seen Ferrenzer a few times when he was still studying at Hogwarts, during his Magical Creatures Protection class when he went into the Forbidden Forest.

"Ronan, what's going on here?" Ferenze approached the first centaur named "Ronan".

Ronan snorted and replied, "There's a wizard with ill intentions trying to trespass on our territory."

"I'm not some malicious wizard. Like I said, I'm a professor at Hogwarts," Sean couldn't help but explain. He hated it when people mistook his harmless appearance for that of a bad guy.

He is clearly a good person, a very good person.

"Where would you find a professor this young? Trying to fool me? Human, you're still too green," Ronan said dismissively, clearly not believing Sean's story.

Ferenze turned his head and scrutinized Sean and the students following behind him with his light blue eyes.

After a moment, he said, "Ronan, put down your weapon. He really is a professor at Hogwarts..."

Ronan nodded, though he seemed somewhat reluctant, but he eventually put down his bow and arrow.

"If I remember correctly, you are Sean Phillips," Ferenz said somewhat uncertainly. "We seem to have met a few times a few years ago."

"You still remember me?" Sean was very surprised.

It's not surprising that Ferenze knew him. Although his centaur tribe lived in the Forbidden Forest, they hadn't severed all ties with the wizarding world. Given Sean's popularity over the past two years, wherever there were wizards, there would be news about him.

Furthermore, the Office of Alien Species under the Department of Magical Creature Management and Control has a dedicated liaison room for centaurs. (Although no centaurs have used it so far.)

What bothered him was that, despite the long time that had passed and the fact that they had only met a few times and didn't even know each other, the other person could easily recall information about him from their memory.

After a moment of contemplation, Ferenczek slowly spoke, "I remember you. You give me a special feeling..."
