Chapter 494 Daphne's Toys

Chapter 494 Daphne's Toys (Part 2)

Upon hearing the voice, Pansy's lips stiffened, as if someone had grabbed her throat, and she swallowed the rest of her words.

Daphne slowly turned her head and, sure enough, saw that person—Sean Phillips, or more precisely, him in disguise.

He disguised himself as a Durmstrang student and stood not far away, one hand in his robe pocket, looking completely at ease.

Pansy's expression changed slightly. She had just been smugly mocking Daphne, but now, this "mysterious male companion" had actually appeared?

And surprisingly—

Impeccable?!

Yes, impeccable.

Pansy stared intently at the man in front of her, scrutinizing him from head to toe, but couldn't find anything to mock.

His posture was upright and his manners were impeccable. Even when he was just standing there casually, he exuded an air of nobility and composure.

Pansy frowned slightly.

This isn't right.

She had initially thought that even if Daphne did find a dance partner, it would only be a mediocre, insignificant fellow, certainly not the handsome, elegant, confident, and distinguished man before her.

Even Krum, who was standing in the center of the dance floor, was somewhat overshadowed by him.

Pansy's fingers tightened involuntarily, and her face turned somewhat pale.

She glanced at Daphne again, unwilling to give up. Daphne didn't speak immediately, but looked at her with a half-smile.

Damn it—

Pansy gritted her teeth, finally let out a cold snort, and turned to leave, tossing her skirt.

Behind her, Daphne finally looked away and met the man's gaze.

To be honest, she felt secretly pleased that this despicable man had helped her out of a tight spot at a crucial moment, making Pansy look foolish.

However, the thought of what was about to happen made her heart sink to the bottom.

How is that possible?!

Under such public scrutiny—

Daphne's fingertips tightened slightly. Almost instantly, the slight pleasure she had felt from Pansy's humiliation vanished, replaced by a deep sense of resistance.

She knew perfectly well what was going to happen next—this man's appearance wasn't simply to help her out of a predicament; his real purpose was to take her dancing.

Yes, dancing.

The pulling, rotating, closing, and intertwining of dance steps —

She could even imagine that as the dance reached its climax, she would be forced close to him, held firmly in his arms, and her body—

Damn!

Countless voices within her were frantically resisting, but she knew she had no choice.

So she forced herself to return to a cold expression.

At the very least, you must not reveal any flaws to others.

Daphne then looked up at Sean and said stiffly, "Dancer, let's go."

Sean smiled slightly but said nothing, only gently taking her hand.

The music began to play softly, a soothing waltz rhythm.

Daphne almost screamed, gripping Sean's clothes so tightly that her nails dug into the fabric.

"Shh—" Sean quickly covered Daphne's mouth, then whispered in her ear again, "You look absolutely gorgeous right now."

Sweat dripped from Daphne's temples, and her skirt billowed as she spun around, revealing glimpses of her thighs.

Sean noticed her swaying and immediately adjusted his center of gravity to support her.

His hand traced down her waist, finally resting on the hem of her skirt. "Don't be nervous, let me help you find your balance."

The music suddenly switched to a fast-paced minor key, and Sean took the opportunity to pull her into his arms, bringing them closer together.

Daphne tried to break free, but his arms held her like iron hoops.

The audience was still applauding and praising the "brilliant" dance, unaware of the humiliation the female dancer on stage had just endured.

"It's over," Sean said softly, without loosening his embrace. "Tell me, did you like this feeling?"

Daphne could not answer.

She felt like a completely tamed bird with broken wings, forever unable to escape this man's control.

[Task Progress: 3/6]

The fourth witch was Cho Chang.

After three dances, the ball was already halfway through, and the atmosphere in the hall became increasingly lively.

Those male and female witches who were not originally familiar with each other had already established a good relationship with their dance partners within the time of the three dances.

The initial formal dance music has ended, and what follows is a freer and more revelrous dance party.

The music of the quirky sisters changed from melodious to exciting, with the drummer on stage striking rhythmic beats, the lights alternating between bright and dark in sync with the melody, and students rushing into the dance floor in droves, unleashing their passion.

Daphne was finally able to escape from the dance floor.

Her face still looked pale. After taking a deep breath, she turned and walked straight to the bathroom in the corner, without even glancing at Sean.

On the other side, Sean had already changed his clothes.

Unlike his previous elaborate and formal attire, he was now clearly more casual. He walked through the crowd, his gaze precisely locking onto Qiu Zhang's figure.

She was standing by the dance floor, holding a glass of pumpkin juice, seemingly waiting for someone.

Sean approached her, bowed slightly, and gave her a polite smile: "Miss Qiu Zhang, would you like to dance?"

'

Qiu Zhang was slightly taken aback, then looked up and met his gaze.

Her gaze slowly fell on his wrist—

That was a sign they had agreed upon beforehand.

"Of course." She gently put down her cup, reached out, and placed her hand in Sean's palm.

The music started again, the light blue skirt spun slowly, and Qiu Zhang's cheeks flushed slightly.

Compared to his harsh treatment of Daphne, Sean was much gentler towards this witch who had just tasted the forbidden fruit.

It was just a few close encounters to complete the mission.

Even so, Qiu Zhang's cheeks still flushed even more noticeably.

Her heart skipped a beat, and her eyes couldn't help but dart away slightly, yet she couldn't resist stealing glances at the man in front of her.

"His breath is so close—"

"This feels so good—"

"I think----"

(Task progress: 4/6)

While Sean was preparing to ask Selena to dance for the fifth time, all sorts of interesting things were happening at the ball.

For example, Fred and George are walking among the crowd, enthusiastically promoting their new product.

They were dressed in identical crimson gowns, each with a glittering "W" badge pinned to their chest, clearly indicating that their prank shop had come up with a new "creative" idea.

"Dear students!" Fred stood by the long table, holding a tempting piece of chocolate in one hand and raising the other hand high to attract the attention of those around him.

"How can a ball be complete without a little magical surprise?" George added.

"We're proud to launch our latest product—Dance Steps Pop Candy!" Fred said mysteriously, shaking the candy box in his hand. "Just eat one, and we guarantee your dance moves will be full of surprises, a new experience every second!"

"What do you mean?" a Ravenclaw student asked curiously.

George blinked: "It's about making you unconsciously change your dance moves every ten seconds! Whether you can dance or not, you'll become the center of attention on the dance floor!"

"Even—" Fred added, his tone enticing, "if you're lucky, you might even be able to perform the legendary Merlin Whirlwind Step!"

Several Gryffindor students nearby were already eager to try, especially Seamus Finnigan, who took a piece of candy and popped it into his mouth without hesitation.

The next second, Simo's originally ordinary dance steps suddenly became uncontrollable. His feet seemed to be under a bouncing spell, and he suddenly leaped up, then did an extremely exaggerated spin in the air. When he landed, he kicked out a series of dazzling steps, which looked like a combination of some kind of high-difficulty tango and jazz dance.

The entire dance floor was stunned.

"This—this is outrageous!" Ron's eyes widened. "Seamus can actually jump this well?"

"No, he can't control himself at all!" Dean couldn't help but laugh. "Look at his expression!"

Sure enough, Ximo's face was filled with horror and disbelief. Clearly, his body was dancing uncontrollably on its own, and he was completely unable to stop it!

People on the dance floor quickly moved aside to make room for Simon, while Fred and George stood to the side, clapping and cheering with glee.

"See that? It's an absolute blockbuster product!" George announced triumphantly.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Christmas sale, limited quantities available!" Fred winked. "Just three silver scissors and you'll be the brightest star on the dance floor!"

The students at the dance burst into laughter and swarmed around Fred and George's booth, eager to buy the "Dance Step Pop Candy" that would make them the center of attention on the dance floor.

In just a few minutes, the twin brothers had already made quite a bit of business, and there were even a few Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students hiding around, seemingly plotting how to use these candies to create a "surprise" for their friends.

Meanwhile, Harry and Ron, exhausted from dancing, decided to leave the Great Hall for some fresh air.

As the chill of Christmas night deepened, the front door remained open, and as they descended the steps, the fairy lights of the rose garden shimmered in the darkness.

Their footsteps echoed on the cobblestone path, surrounded by neatly trimmed bushes, ornately decorated winding trails, and enormous stone statues of various shapes.

Not far away, the sound of flowing water was especially clear in the quiet night, and a fountain was hidden in a secluded corner.

The two could vaguely see some figures sitting on the carved bench, whispering to each other, with occasional soft laughter drifting out from the shadows.

After such an intense event at the ball, it goes without saying what a lone man and woman would choose to do after leaving the hall exhausted.

Avoiding these places, the two casually strolled along a path through the rose bushes. Before they had gone far, they heard a low, suppressed, angry conversation—a familiar voice that greatly displeased them.

"—I don't understand why you're making such a fuss, Igor."

Harry and Ron exchanged a glance and stopped simultaneously.

"Severus, you can't pretend this didn't happen!" Karkaroff's voice was low, but panic and hoarseness were still evident. He seemed to be desperately trying to hide his fear, or perhaps afraid of being overheard. "It's become increasingly obvious over the months. I'm very worried now, I can't deny it—"

"Then run away," Snape said impatiently. "Run away—I'll make excuses for you. But I want to stay at Hogwarts—"

'

Their figures emerged from behind the rose bushes at the end of the path. Snape's face was so dark it seemed to drip ink. He raised his wand and unceremoniously cast a cleansing spell on the rose bushes on either side.

"boom-

'

The rose bushes suddenly burst open to both sides, emitting a series of screams, and several dark figures darted out of the bushes in a panic!

"Ten points deducted from Ravenclaw, Fawcett!" Snape's gaze swept sharply over a girl who had just jumped out of the flower bushes—her cheeks were flushed, and her sleeves were wrinkled, as if she had just experienced a "secret date."

"Hufflepuff also loses ten points, Stebbins!" Snape's gaze shifted to a boy who was chasing after a girl.

Stebbins looked annoyed but dared not say anything. He quickly lowered his head and hurriedly followed.

However, before they could flee in panic, Snape's gaze had already fallen on Harry and Ron, who were standing on the path ahead.

"And what are you two doing here?"

Harry straightened up instinctively, while Ron shrugged lazily and replied bluntly, "We're taking a walk."

Snape's eyes narrowed dangerously, while Karkaroff, standing beside him, showed increased fear upon noticing Harry and Ron. His hand instinctively reached for his goatee, his fingertips tightly entwining a few strands, his eyes darting around as if afraid of being seen through.

"This isn't illegal, is it?" Ron added.

Snape glared at them coldly, then finally just angrily flicked his sleeve and said in a low voice, "Then let's continue our walk!"

After saying that, he strode forward, his black robe billowing behind him, bringing with it a chilling aura.

Karkarov hesitated for a moment, then quickly followed.

Harry and Ron only relaxed again and continued walking forward after the two figures disappeared at the end of the path.

"Why is Karkaroff so worried?" Ron frowned and muttered to himself.

Harry didn't answer immediately. He narrowed his eyes slightly, replaying the conversation in his mind, and whispered, "When did he and Snape start calling each other by their Christian names?"

They didn't understand, but Harry finally regained some of his senses.

How does it feel?

He recently said that this semester was much easier than the previous semesters.

He doesn't think that way anymore.

Not only this little incident, but Hagrid and Ms. Maxim also had an argument.

The two had a friendly discussion about the term "giant bloodline" and exchanged opinions extensively.

The outcome was obvious: the two of them argued and parted on bad terms.

Meanwhile, Sean and Selena also finished their dance.

Just as he was about to leave, Selena suddenly grabbed him, squinted her eyes, looked down and explored, and licked her lips.

"Toilet?"

In an instant, Sean understood what she meant.

"Yes, together."
