Chapter 351 Qiu Zhang's Wet Body
Sean observed Banban's condition, then turned to Ron and gave him a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry, Ron, Scabbers is just scared. The sterilization process can sometimes cause animals a lot of psychological stress, especially when they are completely unprepared."
"But... this is good too, now that Banban has fainted, she won't struggle."
"Alright, Mr. Filch, let's begin."
As he spoke, Sean slightly turned to the side, making room for Sirius and signaling him to continue.
Sirius's hands moved steadily with the scissors. With each of his movements, Scabbers' small body trembled slightly, but because he was unconscious, he did not have any violent reaction.
The entire sterilization process went surprisingly smoothly.
Under the tense gaze of those around him, Sirius Black successfully completed all the steps. The scissors swayed slightly in the air before being retracted, ending the "operation".
"Okay," Sirius said softly, his voice carrying a hint of weariness and complex emotions.
He put the scissors back on the tool tray, his gaze lingered on Banban for a moment, then turned to Sean and nodded slightly.
Sean smiled with relief and nodded to everyone, saying, "Great, the neutering was successfully completed. Spotty should have a good rest now, and it will be back to normal when it wakes up. Ron, we've done our best to minimize its pain; it just needs a little time to adjust."
Ron stood to the side, his face still showing obvious worry, but after hearing Sean's explanation, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He slowly stepped forward, carefully reaching out to take the limp Banban, as if afraid of hurting it, his tone full of tenderness: "Banban, you will get better. All of this is for your own good."
Harry came over, glanced at the unconscious Scabbers, and whispered to Ron, "Look, it seems alright. It was probably just frightened. Give it some time and take good care of it."
Sirius stood to the side, appearing calm on the surface, but deep inside, a flame of revenge was burning secretly.
For him, this was just the first step; the traitor hadn't yet realized the real crisis was already upon him.
Today, he performed a "sterilization" on Scabbers as "Filch," but next time, Peter Petitrou will definitely not be so lucky.
Sean looked at Sirius with a meaningful glance, then patted him on the shoulder. "Mr. Filch, you've done a great job. It seems you're well-suited for this job. I believe you'll be a great assistant in the sterilization of the other animals at Hogwarts."
Sirius nodded, a slight smile playing on his lips, but said nothing.
In the ensuing silence, Sean slowly rose, dusted off his robe, and turned to face the crowd.
"Alright, everyone, that concludes today's 'practical lesson.' I know this might be a bit unexpected for you, but it's an essential part of the magical world—understanding and controlling."
"I hope today will give you some time to think."
He gave Harry, Ron, and the other students watching an encouraging smile, then turned to Snape and nodded in acknowledgment: "Sorry to interrupt your Potions class, Professor Snape, it's urgent."
Snape's expression remained gloomy, but he didn't say anything. He just glanced coldly at Sean, then at Sirius standing there, snorted, and turned back into the classroom.
Sean watched Snape leave, then turned to Sirius and Ron: "Well then, Ron, remember to take good care of Scabbers and give it enough time to recover. If you have any problems, come to me anytime."
Ron nodded, looked down at the spotted creature in his arms, and carefully held it close.
"Thank you, Professor. I will take good care of it." Ron's voice was tinged with weariness, but also with a sense of relief.
He patted Harry on the shoulder, gesturing for them to leave together.
Harry nodded and followed Ron toward the corridor.
He still felt something was off, but he couldn't pinpoint the exact reason, so he could only think about it silently.
In this strange "sterilization" process, something seems to be hidden beneath the surface, waiting for the right moment to erupt.
After they left, Sean and Sirius exchanged a glance, and a lingering unspoken understanding seemed to fill the air.
"How much do you think Peter knows?" Sean asked in a low voice, his tone completely flat.
Sirius Black gave a cold laugh, his eyes filled with barely suppressed killing intent: "He only knows how to be afraid. As for the rest, he'll learn slowly—I'll make him understand the price of betrayal."
Sean nodded, turning his gaze to the greenhouse window. The afterglow of the setting sun shone through the glass, casting long shadows of the plants, which silently watched their plans.
"Time will tell," Sean said, his tone carrying a hint of mysterious prophecy.
Then he turned to Sirius, "Alright, that's the end of today's 'lesson,' Mr. Filch. You can go back to your daily work."
Sirius smiled slightly, a smile tinged with melancholy and a secret expectation.
He nodded, turned and left the greenhouse, disappearing into the corridors of Hogwarts, his black robes casting a long shadow on the ground.
Ever since he failed to fulfill his wish to meet Philip Stan in the greenhouse last time, Qiu Zhang has always felt uneasy.
Professor Sprout's sudden appearance that day interrupted her conversation with Sean, bringing everything to an abrupt end.
During these days, after each Quidditch practice session, she would unconsciously look towards the windows high up in Hogwarts Castle, wondering if Professor Phillips was still there.
She felt a little anxious and frustrated.
If I had mustered more courage that day, things might have been much simpler.
She kept telling herself that it was just a simple request, but deep down she knew that things weren't as simple as she thought. Cho Chang gradually realized that if this matter couldn't be resolved, she would no longer be able to face Professor Phillips freely, and might even be unable to perform at her best in Quidditch.
So she finally made up her mind that this time she had to make things clear no matter what, and she was willing to accept whatever the other party's response was.
The scenery beside Black Lake is tranquil and beautiful, with shimmering silver light on the lake surface and the shadows of the distant forest reflected on the water, creating an exceptionally serene atmosphere.
Qiu Zhang stood by the lake, feeling the cool breeze on his face, but he felt a little uneasy.
She took a deep breath and sorted out her thoughts.
She had made an appointment with Professor Phillips in advance and specifically chose Black Lake—the environment there would make her feel relaxed, and the shimmering water would make her feel as if her mind had been cleansed.
Qiu Zhang looked down at the lake shore beneath his feet, telling himself that no matter what happened today, he had to face it bravely.
She is no longer the little girl who would back down because of failure; she wants to fight for the answer she deserves.
In the early morning at Hogwarts, a thin layer of mist shrouded the Black Lake. Spring was approaching, and the ice on the lake had melted, revealing it to be like an unpolished piece of jade, gleaming with a serene luster.
Sean sat in a small boat, holding the oars with both hands, and slowly rowed, the boat silently breaking the tranquility of the lake.
Each stroke of the oar caused the water to ripple slightly, and occasionally a waterbird in the distance would cry out, its voice echoing across the lake.
"When will Qiu Zhang arrive?"
Sean muttered to himself, his gaze sweeping lightly over the reflection in the lake.
He didn't know why Qiu Zhang had asked him to come here so early in the morning, but he didn't mind enjoying the long-lost tranquility of the lake on such a peaceful morning.
This didn't stop him from fishing while rowing.
Boating and fishing were always part of his Hogwarts routine. Whenever he encountered a difficult problem or needed time to clear his mind, Shaun would come to the Black Lake and use the slow rhythm of the oars and the calmness of the water to help him adjust his thinking and find his direction again.
Perhaps this is why Sofia also enjoys fishing in the Black Lake; this habit may have been "inherited" from him to some extent.
Just as Sean was immersed in the relaxed atmosphere and his thoughts were gradually drifting away from the ripples of the lake, a series of light footsteps suddenly came from afar.
The grass by the lake made a soft "rustling" sound as it was trampled underfoot. He looked up and saw Qiu Zhang walking briskly towards the lake.
It was more like running than walking.
However, she only started running when she spotted Sean on the slowly rocking boat on the lake.
Her face showed a hint of urgency, and even a trace of lingering hesitation.
"professor!"
Hearing Cho Chang's shout, Sean turned around, preparing to slowly row the boat back to shore with the oars.
However, before he could make a move, Cho Chang had already impatiently pulled out the flying broom from behind her—the rocket crossbow that Sean had given her for Christmas.
Without the slightest hesitation, she quickly mounted her flying broom and gracefully took flight from the lakeside, her entire being gliding through the air like a nimble bird, hurtling straight toward the small boat in the lake.
Sean raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised that she carried a flying broom with her.
However, he didn't say much, but simply slowed down his rowing speed and waited for her to get closer.
Cho Chang looked tense. She gripped her flying broom tightly in one hand and waved the other, calling out to Sean, "Professor Phillips!"
Sean smiled slightly, stopped paddling, and looked up at her: "Miss Qiu Zhang, why are you in such a hurry? What happened?"
"It's about that request." Qiu Zhang's voice was slightly erratic due to the wind, but one could hear the urgency in her voice.
She approached the boat and carefully bent down to jump from the broom onto the boat.
However, the moisture above the lake made the broom slippery, and Qiu Zhang lost his balance the moment he landed. His toes did not land firmly on the edge of the boat, but instead landed on a more tilted position.
She screamed, lost her balance, and fell towards Sean.
Sean instinctively reached out to catch it, but clearly, Cho Chang's momentum exceeded his expectations.
The two men instantly lost their balance, and the boat began to rock violently.
Immediately afterwards, with a "splash," the entire small boat capsized, and the two people fell into the icy lake water together.
The icy lake water instantly enveloped Sean and Cho Chang, splashing countless water droplets on the surface, accompanied by Cho Chang's exclamation.
Sean tried to stay calm. His head floated to the surface, his wet hair plastered to his forehead. He looked through the lake at Cho Chang, who was also struggling not far away.
"Ah—!" Qiu Zhang let out a short scream in panic. Then she suddenly opened her eyes wide as her whole body was engulfed by the lake water. She struggled desperately with her limbs to regain her balance, but to no avail.
Her robe was completely soaked, the black fabric clinging to her skin and outlining an incredibly alluring curve.
Looking at the scene before him, Sean felt a strange heat rising within him, his gaze unable to leave Qiu Zhang's perfect body, now soaked in water.
Qiu Zhang continued to thrash her limbs, trying to climb onto the small boat, but this only made her look even more alluring.
"Professor Phillips, save me..." Cho Chang gasped as he shouted to Sean, his voice filled with fear.
Sean didn't answer. He swam over and grabbed Cho Chang's wrist, pulling her to his side.
Qiu Zhang's hands were smooth and soft, tightly holding Sean's palm. Sean felt a surge of heat, like an electric current, coming from his fingertips.
He pulled Qiu Zhang into his arms, his hand naturally resting on her full, soft breasts.
The two were finally able to catch their breath briefly on the water. Cho Chang hugged Sean tightly, his whole body trembling uncontrollably.
Sean's body pressed against Cho Chang's; he could feel her soft breasts rising and falling gently with her breath. Strands of her hair were loose on her shoulders, a few clinging to his face, creating a strange sensation.
Sean couldn't help but laugh out loud, a hint of helplessness and mockery in his voice: "Looks like we'll have to figure out how to get back to shore first before we talk about that request."
Qiu Zhang's cheeks were flushed from the cold water and embarrassment, her wet hair plastered to her face. She glared at Sean helplessly, but couldn't help but give a wry smile: "I wanted to make this meeting a little special, but obviously it didn't go as planned."
Sean smiled and gently patted her shoulder: "That was indeed a special way to make an entrance, worth remembering."
They looked at each other and smiled, and the awkward atmosphere gradually dissipated.
Sean pointed to the lakeshore not far away: "Let's go, let's swim back first, then I'll take you to the school clinic to see Mrs. Pomfrey, so you don't get sick."
"Okay...: Alright," she replied, though the lake water was still cold, she didn't seem so afraid anymore.
Sean gently put his arm around her shoulder to make sure she could float steadily on the water, and then slowly guided her to swim towards the lake.
Although the lake water was icy cold, Cho Chang felt warm leaning against Sean.
That's strange, isn't it?
The shore wasn't too far away, and they swam while maintaining a relaxed conversation.
Finally, the two swam slowly to the lakeside. Sean climbed ashore first, then reached out to Cho Chang and pulled her out of the water.
Qiu Zhang was soaked through, her black robe clinging to her body, and the wind brought a biting chill, causing her to shiver slightly.
