Chapter 274 Time Reversal: Objection? Reversal!
"The defendant has arrived; the hearing is about to begin."
"The trial on August 20th."
"The trial of Sean Phillips, senior advisor to the Minister of Magic, for allegedly violating Sections 3 and 4 of the Wizarding Safety Protection Act..."
Article 12; Articles 3 and 5 of the International Confederation of Wizards' Secrecy Law, totaling thirty-six offenses, including murder,
He faces multiple charges, including instigating the murder.
"Because of the seriousness of this case and its significant social impact, the Ministry of Magic will conduct a public trial."
'
Sean sat in the audience, watching his trial with great interest.
This feeling is extremely interesting.
Suddenly, he raised his head and waved towards the audience.
Sean looked in that direction and saw his long-lost junior, the Weasleys, his female subordinate, Penelope who never learned her lesson, and the little witch he hadn't seen in a long time.
Miss Granger.
Her brown curly hair still fell loosely over her shoulders, softly clinging to her cheeks, with the slightly curled ends adding a touch of playfulness.
She's still so cute.
Just as Sean was reminiscing about all the wonderful things Miss Granger had brought him, the hearing had already begun.
Amelia flipped through the documents in her hands, saying to herself, "So, according to our investigation, there is evidence that you are connected to a series of recent murders..."
Before Amelia could finish speaking, he interrupted her.
"This is utterly absurd!"
My attitude is very firm.
"As a senior advisor to the Minister for Magic, I have always worked to maintain peace and justice in the wizarding world."
I've already tried my best.
"Murder? This is a great insult to my character! Director Burns, I demand that you immediately release this so-called evidence so that I have the opportunity to refute it point by point in court and prove my innocence."
You're absolutely right.
I doubt even I, two years ago, could have imagined that there would be someone in the audience now, praising me and echoing my words.
As Sean finished speaking, the courtroom fell silent, all eyes focused on Fudge. Amelia waved her hand, "Call a witness."
The courtroom doors slowly opened.
A wizard dressed in a black robe walked in slowly, protected by two Aurors.
As the wizard in the black robe passed by the audience, his gaze inadvertently swept over Sean, who was sitting in the corner.
It was a fleeting glance, quick and secretive.
Sean remained seated in the audience, a faint smile on his face, his hands casually resting on the armrests of his chair, appearing calm and composed.
This is his good subordinate Rob Ayers, or in court, his pseudonym Albert Moore.
Sean watched the heated debate unfolding at the hearing with little interest.
His own debate with Emilia sounded like a muffled noise to him.
He stared at everything happening in the center of the hearing, his gaze gradually wandering, his thoughts drifting.
Everyone was intently watching every detail in court, but to him, it all seemed to be getting further and further away.
He frowned slightly, feeling a bit unwell.
After hesitating for a moment, Sean decided to leave for the time being.
He stood up slightly, the chair making a faint sound. No one noticed his movement; everyone's attention was focused on the progress of the trial.
Reaching the door, he pushed open the heavy courtroom doors, and a breath of fresh air rushed in, instantly making him feel a little more relaxed.
Sean quickened his pace and headed towards the restroom at the end of the corridor. He pushed open the door; the lighting was dim, and a faint scent of cleaning agents filled the air.
He walked to the sink, turned on the tap, and cool water slid down his palm. He then splashed the water on his face.
Trying to clear my head.
"Swish, swish," a drop of water fell into the pool, creating a soft echo.
Sean looked up at himself in the mirror, his gaze vacant, his face still wet with water droplets.
His wet hair clung messily to his forehead, and he was panting, his eyes filled with confusion.
What's wrong with me?
His hands gripped the edge of the sink tightly, his knuckles turning slightly white.
The person in the mirror looked so unfamiliar, as if they had become a different person.
Along with the suffocating feeling of not being able to breathe, a sudden and severe headache followed.
The sensation was like countless needles pricking his temples, so painful that he could barely stand.
Sean took a deep breath, struggling to maintain his balance, and with his legs barely supporting him, he slowly moved away from the edge of the sink.
The steps taken to purchase land led to the nearest toilet cubicle.
He shakily pushed open a cubicle door, his body almost leaning against the door panel to avoid falling over.
As soon as he entered, he locked the door behind him and then slumped weakly onto the toilet, his back pressed against the cold wall of the stall, trying his best to calm his rapid breathing.
His wet hair clung to his forehead, and sweat streamed down his cheeks, mingling with the undried water droplets.
Sitting on the toilet, Sean tucked his face into his hands, leaned forward slightly, and curled up into a ball.
He didn't know how much time had passed, but Sean could vaguely hear intermittent footsteps and conversations outside.
The sounds were exceptionally clear in the quiet toilet, yet they also seemed distant, as if veiled by a thin mist, indistinct and unclear.
"Please hurry, Mr. Phillips."
"Wait a moment."
It was also as the conversation began that Sean's headache intensified, and the world around him began to spin.
Consciousness became increasingly blurred, and all sounds and sensations seemed to come from a distant place, gradually becoming blurred, distant, and finally disappearing completely.
He tried to lift his head, to stand up, but his body no longer obeyed his commands. His hands slid off his face, his arms hung limply at his sides, and his entire body, as if having lost all support, slowly leaned forward.
In the last moment before his consciousness completely faded into darkness, Sean placed the wand he was carrying in the gap between the two cubicles.
After a long while, Sean slowly woke up, his consciousness returning to his body as if surfacing from the deep sea. He felt his forehead was cold and wet, covered in sweat, which dripped down his cheeks, mixing with the water droplets from before and blurring his vision.
He blinked; the world before him was still somewhat blurry. All around him was silent, with only his rapid breathing echoing in the cramped cubicle.
He struggled to lift his head; his muscles were still sore and weak, and his head still felt heavy, but the intense headache seemed to have subsided considerably.
Sean's fingers moved slightly on the cold floor, and the touch gradually helped him regain control of his body.
He slowly supported himself, leaning against the wall of the cubicle, barely managing to sit up straight. His mind was a mess, as if everything that had just happened was being rapidly pulled from his memory, leaving only a blank.
Suddenly, he looked down and saw the magic wand he had placed under the crack in the cubicle.
It lay quietly on the ground, turned around, forming a stark contrast with the surrounding tiles.
Sean stared at it intently, watching it intently.
Until a smile appeared on his face.
Now, the one about to appear... is Shaun in Phase Two.
