Chapter 221 Rongmei Wants a Vacation
Chapter 221 Rongmei Wants a Vacation
On October 27, Fu Yibai, who was working at the company, received a phone call from Yang Rong.
"Feed?"
"Mr. Fu."
The voice on the other end of the phone was soft, carrying a hint of fatigue from just getting off the plane.
"I'm back in Beijing, I just landed."
"Filming wrapped up?"
Hard."
Fu Yibai put down his pen and leaned forward slightly.
"It's not hard work."
Yang Rong paused, her voice tinged with a cautious probing.
"Mr. Fu, do you have time tonight?"
I'd like to invite you to dinner.
"Have a meal?
Ok……
"Where should we eat if we have time?"
"that……
"Is it okay at my house?"
Upon hearing that it was at Yang Rong's house, Fu Yibai immediately understood what the woman meant.
"it is good."
"See you tonight!"
The sound coming from the phone was noticeably more cheerful.
At 6:30 pm, the sky was already darkening, and the late autumn air in Beijing carried a slight chill.
Fu Yibai parked his car downstairs in the apartment complex where Yang Rong lived. His bodyguards had cleared the area beforehand to make sure there were no paparazzi lurking around before he opened the car door, picked up a bunch of red roses he had bought on the way, and walked into the apartment building.
The elevator went up to the twelfth floor, and I knocked on the door.
The moment the door was opened a crack, the aroma of food filled the air.
Yang Rong was wearing a beige knitted loungewear set, her hair loosely tied back, revealing her slender, fair neck. She wasn't wearing makeup, only a light layer of lipstick. When she saw him, her eyes instantly curved into crescent moons.
"Come in quickly~"
"This is for you."
Fu Yibai handed her the red rose in his hand.
"Thank you~"
Yang Rong took the flowers, a happy smile on her face. She gently inhaled their fragrance and then stepped aside to let him into the house.
The interior was decorated in a warm and elegant style, and the dining table was already filled with all kinds of dishes.
"I made all of these myself. I don't know if they'll suit your taste."
Yang Rong said somewhat shyly, but her eyes were full of anticipation.
"It looks delicious. Thank you for your hard work."
He pulled out a chair, sat down, picked up his chopsticks, and took a piece of pork rib. The meat was stewed until tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of salt.
Yang Rong sat opposite him, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him, like a little rabbit waiting for praise, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"I learned a little bit when I had free time during filming, but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to cook it well."
Fu Yibai smiled and picked up another piece of fish with his chopsticks.
"You should eat some too, it tastes great, don't be nervous."
Hearing him say that, Yang Rong finally felt relieved. She picked up her chopsticks to add food to his plate and started rambling on about the funny things that happened when she was filming.
Dinner ended in a warm and ambiguous atmosphere. As Yang Rong was clearing away the dishes, Fu Yibai gently put his arm around her waist from behind.
Her body stiffened for a moment, then softened, and she turned around to wrap her arms around his neck, tilting her head back to kiss his lips.
This kiss wasn't as flustered and awkward as the first one; it was more proactive and showed a greater sense of dependence.
The living room lights were warm and inviting, and the night outside the window was growing darker. The two of them made their way from the kitchen to the living room and then to the bedroom.
Moonlight streamed through the sheer curtains, falling on their intertwined figures. Yang Rong closed her eyes, holding his arms tightly, pouring all her dependence and joy into this tender moment.
The next morning, Fu Yibai was awakened by a slight noise beside him.
He opened his eyes and saw Yang Rong propping her head up, looking at him quietly with tender eyes.
Seeing that he was awake, she immediately smiled and spoke in a soft, sleepy voice.
"morning."
"morning."
Fu Yibai reached out and pulled her into his arms, his fingertips tracing the smooth skin on her back.
"Why did you wake up so early? Why didn't you sleep a little longer?"
I can't sleep.
Yang Rong snuggled closer to him, her cheek pressed against his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. After hesitating for a while, she finally spoke softly.
"Mr. Fu, I'd like to tell you something."
"Hmm? You go ahead."
"I want to take a long leave from work and go on a trip."
Yang Rong raised her head, met his gaze, and spoke with a hint of probing.
"I've been filming non-stop for the past two years and have hardly had any rest."
I want to get away for a while and clear my head.
She was afraid that her request would displease him, so she quickly added after she finished speaking.
"Don't worry, I won't delay the work assigned by the company. If there is a suitable script, I can come back anytime."
Seeing her cautious manner, Fu Yibai couldn't help but lower his head and kiss her forehead, his voice gentle.
"That's all?"
I thought it was something serious.
"Take a break whenever you want, decide your own vacation time, and stay as long as you like."
Yang Rong was stunned for a moment, clearly not expecting him to agree so readily, and her eyes lit up instantly.
"real?"
"When have I ever lied to you?"
Fu Yibai pinched her cheek.
"If you're unsure about your itinerary, let Jenny help you arrange it. She'll also provide you with bodyguards. Safety is the top priority when you're traveling."
All expenses will be charged to the company account; consider it a benefit provided by the company.
"No need, no need, I have my own money."
Yang Rong quickly waved her hand, but her heart felt as if it had been filled with warm water, making her feel cozy.
She knew he would never mistreat those around him, but this unreserved thoughtfulness still made her heart flutter.
"Just take it."
Fu Yibai spoke without giving a chance to refuse.
"Consider it... compensation for the injustice I suffered last time."
Yang Rong looked at him, her eyes slightly warm, and leaned in to kiss his lips again.
