Chapter 30 Dinosaurs Attack
Chapter 30 Dinosaurs Attack
Chapter 30 Dinosaurs Attack
The phone in the command center rang.
Chief Gordon's heart skipped a beat.
He slammed the table aside, stood up, and walked with heavy, clattering steps to the phone. He picked up the receiver with a thud and said:
"Hello, I'm Chief Gordon."
He had a bad feeling, and soon that feeling reached its peak.
"What? Weren't you saying we'd use artillery fire? Are you kidding me?"
Cold sweat instantly broke out on Jim Gordon's forehead:
"Why send the remaining 2 men up there? It's pointless, it only increases casualties!"
He slammed his hand on the table. "Mayor Carlo and I clearly made a decision. Whose order are you relaying?"
"I'm sorry, Chief Gordon, this is the order I received." The communications officer on the other end of the phone said politely, "And Chief Gordon, your command has been revoked, the troops must move out now, to..."
"Damn it, I'm going to find Carlo!"
"Has he got the clown in his head?! I will never allow such a stupid life to end..."
With a bang, the door was pushed open, and two burly soldiers entered, carrying assault rifles on their backs.
The unexpected arrival of these two armed men put everyone in the command center on edge, with many Gotham police officers placing their hands on their waists.
The communicator continued into Gordon's earpiece:
"...and I'm sorry, but to prevent you from doing anything rash, we must..."
The two soldiers replied:
"...I must take you to the detention room temporarily. I'm sorry, Chief. Please."
Chief Gordon took off his glasses. He was no longer young; wrinkles had appeared on his face, and gray hairs had crept into his temples.
His once-bulging muscles have atrophied over time, and his height has also shrunk a bit.
"Don't stop me." Gordon took off his glasses and stared intently into the eyes of the two tall soldiers from below. "Carlo told me..."
"This is Mayor Carlo's order." The soldier interrupted him politely but firmly: "And the mayor's order is that he doesn't want to see you. I'm sorry, but we are just following orders, Chief."
The two of them took off the assault rifles that were slung over their backs and carried them in their hands.
Gordon took a deep breath.
"Keep an eye on Bane's three men."
He instructed his men.
So, as Jim Gordon followed two soldiers out of the makeshift command post, he saw, in the setting sun, rows of soldiers running forward at the shouts of their officers, the rumble of tanks and armored vehicles, and the endless lines of men ready to go stretching as far as the eye could see.
"That's right, no matter how strong he is, he's still just one person!"
"1! 2! 3!"
"Capture Bane alive!"
"Third Column! Third Column!"
"Don't worry, soldiers! We're all human. With so many of us, even a single spit from each of us could drown Bane!"
Gordon began to regret his decision.
Mayor Carroll's decision was absolutely abnormal. If only he hadn't so strongly urged Batman to avoid the National Guard, if only Batman had been there at that moment...
He looked worriedly at the regular army that surged like a tide.
Can they really defeat Bain?
"We have tanks." A soldier beside him noticed his worry and couldn't help but speak up. "An army of 2 men, plus countless armored vehicles and 20 tanks. I heard that guy named Bane something is a superhuman, huh?"
"How many divisions could a superhuman fight?"
A soldier next to him chimed in, "The first 2000 men couldn't take him down, so why can't 2?"
What else could Gordon say? He sighed again.
"I hope so."
……
……
……
"Batman, are you going to make a move?"
Robin swallowed hard.
In the distance, Ms. Vick's feet were wrapped in vines. She tried to stick two samurai swords into the ground, but to no avail. Finally, amidst screams, she was pulled into the air.
The dog welder rushed forward, clutching the dead dog he'd somehow managed to pull out again. But the next second, he was sent flying by a plant fist rising from beneath the plant master's feet, rolling dozens of times on the ground, his limbs twisted. Yet, the next second, he got up as if nothing had happened and continued charging forward.
Robin whispered to Chen Tao, "Don't think I don't know, um..."
Robin initially wanted to say, "Don't think I don't know you can turn into dinosaurs and cars now," but he quickly realized that the Batman in front of him was not the Bruce Wayne he knew who was good at beating others, but a completely new personality.
So he changed his question and asked, "Do you plan to do it yourself?"
On the other side, the Plant Master took another bite of the Swamp Monster's tuber. Countless trees and herbs frantically converged on his body and became part of it. His body, which was already nearly two meters tall, gradually swelled, becoming increasingly inhuman.
Chen Tao thought for 0.1 seconds, then decisively said, "I have never been one for fighting."
"Help! Batman!!! I'm going to die if you don't come to my aid!!! I'll curse you to hell for all eternity!!!"
Cheshire Cat, aided by Count Dizziness and Death Shooter, was struggling to hold on against the Plant Master.
Seeing Batman and Robin standing leisurely to the side, pointing and whispering, occasionally chuckling, like elementary school students on a spring outing, I couldn't help but feel angry.
"I'm going on strike!" she shouted. "I'm a cat, not a donkey!"
She yelled, "If you don't help, I'm going to lead this big guy over to you!"
Ms. Vic finally swung her knife and cut off the vines that were pulling her up into the air by her legs.
She lay panting on the ground, completely devoid of the elegance and composure of an English aristocratic woman.
"Yes!" she shouted in agreement, "We need help!"
She planted her katana in the ground, then leaned against a tree, exhausted, panting heavily. "I really can't go on. I'm so dizzy. The thing I hate most in my life is roller coasters! Ugh! I feel like I'm about to—"
Before she could finish speaking, she vomited a disgusting clump of vomit at the tree root, perfectly illustrating the truth that even beautiful women can vomit.
and many more.
Tree?
As Ms. Vic screamed as she was once again pulled into the air by the vines, Chen Tao sighed and slowly walked out.
His temperament was so outstanding, his expression so composed, that the plant master simply could not ignore his presence.
The plant master stopped what he was doing. He ignored the Cheshire Cat, who had scurried away to the side and was panting heavily, and stared intently at the man in front of him.
"Sigh, why do I always have to do it?" Chen Tao sighed.
He took a step!
In an instant, silvery-white illusory particles roared and groaned on his body, and his body suddenly rose higher.
Step two!
Sharp teeth and claws replaced his ordinary limbs, and silvery particles rolled back, forging golden arm armor on his arms.
third step!
A green bat-like dinosaur appeared where Chen Tao had just been standing, roaring to the sky!
The plant master was stunned by the scene, which resembled a Gold Saint transforming, so much so that he didn't even have time to attack during the transformation.
"The Red of All Beings?"
