Dr. Cliff Bacchus, originally from Guyana, practices conventional, alternative and anti-aging medicine in the Bahamas, where he has been living for the past thirty-four years.
He studied in Russia, the United States and Canada.
Although, for twenty-eight years, seven days a week, he worked as District Medical Officer on call, he never stopped fantacizing about writing, and, indeed, he researched fiction writing during the little spare time he had between patients. In 2002, he went into full private practice and had more time to write, which he does every morning, rain or shine, holiday or no holiday.
Classic and instrumental music is his constant companion; it brings his soul to the fore. "No music, no writing."
"For me, writing is a purging and an escape. I find great pleasure researching, creating characters, plotting, and dramatizing. Sometimes my imagination works overtime, and then, I know it's time to go down to the beach, listen to the ocean waves lapping on the beach, inhale the saline Atlantic breeze, quench my thirst with coconut water and roll half naked on the sunny pink sand beach. Life as it should be! The antidote to civilization! And then, the creative juices start flowing again, stepping into the realm of Neverland for another '...and they lived happily ever after."
